ISO first Mini
Hi folks, my wife and i are in the market for a Countryman so I decided to start reading up on the forums. Not sure if we are going to buy new or used, but will be getting an S All4 with a manual transmission. With Minnesota Winters, we will also get a set of winter tires and wheels. Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

Good choice. We're also in the market for an All4 S Countryman but auto for us. Even though my wife can drive stick she just doesn't want too anymore.
At least I still have the R52.
Also undecided about new or 1-2 years old. At this time there just doesn't seem to be any 2017+ used available. Lots of 2016- though. Really favouring the 2017+ since they are slightly longer (20cm) and also a lot better appointed in the cabin. The reliability has also improved by leaps and bounds with the last gen. Actually ahead of BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Honda etc. Right behind Lexus, Porsche, and Toyota.

Same boat here, want a 2017+ with a manual for the extra room. We are all tall in our family, so the extra leg room in back is a bonus. Funny about your wife, mine is the reason we are getting a manual as she hates automatics.
