I have to figure out how to post any pics first lol. Not an avid forum member. But quick learner.

and I am not aware of the issues. Talk to me. I didnt pay much for the car so can invest some money into fixing or preventing issues

Congrats on your Mini S buy!
Yes the N 14 engine can have a few problems, but there are good solutions here. Important to change full synthetic oil at the longest 5000miles. And oil catch can can be your friend here too!
They have had issues with the intake getting clogged with burnt oil around the intake valves, which will totally clog the airway and kill that cylinder from firing.. There are ways to clear it out though.
It is not the end of the world, but needs attention. The turbo is most likely on its way out, if it has over 100K miles on it. ( it will still work though, just not as well)
