His n Hers

Aloha,

My wife purchased her R60-S new in 2013 and it’s been a phenomenal car. So much so that when it came time for me to look into adding another car to the household, I looked to Mini.

I have now moved from my old 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee to a preowned ‘16 R60-S4.
Happy to be here with you all and after a recent move from HI to MA I know the All4 will come in handy in the winter.

Make it a great day!
Aloha

Welcome to NAM.

Love to take mine up and down Haleakla a few times . . . . . .

That’s funny you reference Maui. I lived up country for nearly a decade. There’s are some very fun stretches of road on that island and the Motoring, Exotic & Classic Car clubs have some really great people involved.

It's funny how often that happens. I have an F56 and my wife has an F60, while some close friends he has an R60 and she has an F56!

Welcome to the forum!

A pair of F54s over here. Welcome!

So I’ve taken a quick picture of the R60S All4 recently. And the picture of my wife’s R60S is a bit older... maybe the two of them will meet someday.
Thank you all for the greetings!

Welcome! Another two MINI family here. I’ve owned a 2006 R53, a 2009 R55, and now a 2015 F56. My spouse drives a 2014 Countryman S. No ALL4, but with winter tires on it, it’s pretty near unstoppable in Massachusetts winters.

I strongly recommend getting winter tires. No need to buy the overpriced ones at the dealer; any winter tire will beat all season tires as temps go below freezing. But I have a soft spot for Bridgestone Blizzak LM series snow tires; they give up some snow grip in exchange for some seriously crazy cornering traction on pavement.

Anyway, welcome to Mass and to NAM!

Mahalo bratling!

I’ve always had a soft spot for the Blizzak tires. The haldex system in my father’s old Audi TT chewed them up fierce, but I ran them for a few winters on my ‘06 STi without any issues.

I hope the Mini AWD system plays nicely with Blizzaks. They are definitely on the docket for install this Nov/Dec.

Aloha from Plymouth MA
