Welcome to the forum. What an impressive fleet of Mini/MINIs. I hope you actively participate in the forum. I would bet that you will have a lot to contribute.

Is the difference between Mini and MINI that Mini was the original and MINI are the current BMW versions?

Yes that's right the Mini is the classic and MINI is the BMW version. There are a lot of people (I won't call them enthusiasts) who own Minis that insist on calling the MINI a BINI, a name I hate with a passion.

I hope to be able to share my experiences with you all both good and bad including if its allowed reports on the shows I go to during the summer months.

Welcome to NAM from the other side of the Pond.

Hi and welcome to the NAM family!
I am a MINI Maniac and bought one years ago, then started to collect them, then started to buy and sell them!
I love these little street monsters!
You have a fine fleet, that any Mini/MINI owner, would be proud to own!
Congrats to you and your fine fleet!

Lands End to John O' Groats Charity Run sounds like a blast! I've been to John O'Groats, but never Lands End.

Congrats to you and your fine fleet!

Thank you they're all brilliant apart from when they decide they don't want to work!

It was brilliant 5 days travelling from Lands End to John O'Groats using mainly A and B roads with very little motorway!

I've done it 3 times in total the first time was in my brother classic with a 1340 engine and 5 speed straight cut box great on the twist stuff but no fun for 9 hours on the motorway home form Inverness, the 2nd time was in my Green classic and then in the Countryman which was fun and far more comfy but it didn't sound as good!

Hello there!
Really nice motors all, but I absolutely love the Almond Green/Snowberry White car --- a rare bird too yes?
Not too many of those runnin' around.

I've always lusted after a classic Mini, but over here they're rather expensive and difficult to find in LHD which I prefer, so the next best thing was getting a 2006 JCW and after only one month I'm deeply in love with total enthusiasm, it is quite simply a brilliant automobile.

Thank you they can be a bit trying at times when they all need something doing on them!

Thank you yes the Green one is a little special it was converted by Downton from new in 1999 to celebrate the Minis 40 th (as was the Sport 40) I had always promised myself I would buy one of the last John Cooper Sport 5 conversions before the production of the classic stopped. Then Downton launched this and well I couldn't resist it No 1 of only 5 converted and I am told its the only one in the UK the others were brought by overseas buyers and one of those was written off!!!!!

Sadly it's not an original 60's Downton (to me the holy grail of Minis) but it's still a special little car.
