After many years of admiring and wanting a Mini Cooper I finally got a reason to get one. I am normally a truck guy being from the south and an outdoor person, but the mini has a lot of character. I recently got a promotion at work that changed my commute from 2 miles one way to two hours. I thought this would be the perfect time to get a Mini, used of course as it will take on a lot of miles. I purchased a 2011 Clubman S last night and so far love it. It wasn't exactly what I wanted but the wife had to get her say in it being able to haul someone in the back if need be, lickly out 65lb bulldog. So far it's getting great had mileage according to the car, around 36.6 with mostly highway driving at around 72 mph (not the interstate).

Welcome to NAM.

Dale Jr. had a MINI. Said it was a great car but that he sold it after getting grief from his friends that drove big pick ups.

Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the world of MINI ownership. Is that two hours each way? I thought I had it bad with a one hour drive to work.

The Clubman looks great in white. The Clubman is a great balance between the fun small car and room for a 65lb bulldog.

Welcome it looks great.

I drive a Clubman as my company car and it is great for hauling everything I need, but still fun.

It's about 1hr 45 minutes to work and about 2 hours home, more traffic in the evenings. We work four tens so I leave my house at 5am and get home about 730pm. But I only do it four day for three weeks and 6 days once a month.

I'm actually not crazy about the pepper white, I may add some strips of some sort and possibly black the wheels out.

I understand. My brother lived east of Pensacola and worked west of Mobile for over 10 years for a 90 mile commute each way.

My preference would be for a lighter color mini to have contrast between the black trim and the paint - want to trade? I am going to add some stripes to lighten it up. (The stripes on the signature picture came from Paint.)

Great looking car.
