I lost my old password, I check this forum from time to time, because:
Things I've done to my wife's 07 Cooper:
door panel and speaker grill
driver's seat cover
brakes, a few times, of course
Cylinder head plus 2 pistons (overheated and ate a valve)
Cam timing problems which persisted for a while and then went away... not really sure what fixed that, changed a bunch of parts and then it fixed itself.
Now dealing with an auto tranny that flares in 4th and slips in 5th and 6th
Love this car
