I have to admit that when the MINI first became popular (at least on my personal radar), I was not a particular fan of the esthetic. Over the years, it grew on me, and in 2014 I met my (now) Wife who owned a 2007 R56 and drove it like she stole it until she traded it in for a Chevy Spark (yeesh) in 2015. We corrected that error today when we drove our 2017 Justa White Silver home from MINI of Kennesaw. It's pretty loaded with the Cold Weather, Technology, Premium, and Wired packages. I would have preferred to have the Sport package, but we had to settle for something we could get locally or shipped since she didn't want to wait for a factory build. I was disappointed at the lack of MT-equipped MINIS to choose from.
I enjoyed the 2 hour drive home and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the ride, particularly with the run-flats. I'm looking forward to seeing how it performs at the Gap after having driven my Miata RF there a few weeks ago.
I'm looking forward to interacting with the members here and learning more about the car -- which I'm sure will eventually will get a name when the wife figures out it's personality.
The MINI hasn't been getting the photo love of my Miata. Shame on me! I took these in the driveway after our two hour drive home from the dealer. It gave us time to get comfortable with the interior layout.
