Hello from South Fla
Hi all...new guy here with my first Mini.
I needed a cheap 3rd that I could also have a little fun with and just couldn't resist the Mini's.
I was able to find a 2005 Cooper S with 100k on it for very cheap. It needs some minor cosmetic work and a possible steering pump recall/warranty issue but otherwise the mechanics are sound. I'll be taking it for a full diagnostic soon. So far I've been able to identify the following mods.
Koni shocks
M7 Pulley (not sure what size?)
M7 strut tower brace
Alta CAI
Unknown exhaust but nice
Apparently the first owner did these as the second owner wasn't even aware of most of it. I look forward to shaking it down more and seeing what it needs but having fun so far. I know these cars are old and anything can happen but for the price, I couldn't beat it. I'll be lingering here for lots of info too since I'm new to the Mini. Here's a pic from her first ride home. Tks

Welcome to NAM.
Appears the car is in great shape, must have parked inside as the paint does not look washed out. If you want to see what a Mini can do, bring it to Minis on the Dragon next year.
There is an immense amount of information on your generation of car here between the threads, the members and the vendors.

Tar Heel Mini Motoring Club does a Blue Ridge Tour each year. Just got back last weekend from the latest. Had two groups, one for sight seeing and one for twisties.
If you cannot make the Dragon, the BRPT is not too shabby and will get you out of the Florida heat (lived there for over 20 years, from late May to October most only came out in the early morning and at night) and away from those pancake flat roads in the south part of the state.
