Watching Tugela sloooowly make it's way

Hi,

Bill here from SoCal.

Patiently (if that is possible!) awaiting my 2016 Clubman S. I ordered it back in late December, and it has kept to schedule for the build and now the transport. It is on the Tugela, which sailed from Southampton on Feb 11th, and I've been trying to follow it as it makes the trip. Tugela emerged from the Atlantic black hole, and she arrived at Baltimore, then onward into the Bermuda triangle. Yesterday she again came back from the ozone, to arrive in Panama.

Someone else had mentioned this in a posting. Early This morning I tried my luck, and I was spot on with my guess as to the time that Tugela might be passing through the canal - I was able to grab a screenshot of the ship in the Gatun locks, here it is:

Somewhere in there...

And now, a full eight hours later, I've got her in the Miraflores locks:

I guess I never thought about what a bit deal it is crossing through the canal. It actually was a bit more interesting to watch as the refresh on the cams is about 60 seconds, so you can see the ship being lowered in the lock, that is really cool.

I don't yet even HAVE the car, but showing a few signs of obsession, no?!!?

This gives me a recharge (small!) to my patience:thumbsup:, a week from Sunday and Tugela arrives in California, so smooth sailing please!

Delivery on the east coast would have been quicker... followed by an epic break-in ride across the US back to Cali! But there's only a week to go now. These new Clubmans are very luxo... nice car!

Very cool to get pictures of the ship in the locks down in Panama.

Weather doesn't look that bad, weak pressure gradients along the route, so smooth sailing is a good possibility up Mexico's west coast.
