Hey, I'm new here!

Hi, my name is Jeffery Harmon. I've been visiting this forum as a guest/lurker for the past few weeks and tonight decided to register and introduce myself. My wife Jessica and I bought a beautiful 2005 JCW a week ago and are having a blast so far! It just turned 100k today but looks like it has half that mileage. I have to admit that reading this forum had me questioning if I was making the right decision or not as far as reliability is concerned! But I cut my teeth on vintage Alfas so how scary can a Mini be?! Looking forward to chatting with all of you. Better photos to come...

I feel the same way about the reliability....but a friend of mine once pointed out that people sometimes only go online to post bad reviews.

Yeah, good point. If I wanted something that required no maintenance I'd buy Japanese. But that also means driving something a bit more boring. At least in my experience anyway...

Welcome, they aren't bad if you do the maint regularly. We love Alfas too.

Welcome to the Mini world! It's a fun place to be. Enjoy ripping up those old country roads! There's an app called Mini Motoring that will show you fun routes around your area. I've used it to find a couple and added one of my own

Thanks for the welcome everyone! And thanks for the app recommendation, that sounds great. I can't wait to check it out! Are you in the area? If so, how's the Mini community around here? Do they actively get together?

Thanks! I plan on buying some M7 stuff in the not too distant future. I still can't believe how quick this thing is!
