Hey guys and gals! My lady friend and I bought a 05 R53 a couple of months ago and I am getting around to joining forums. Totally looking to get in on the Mini craze. We love our Mini. Looking for help modding as well.

I am totally willing to be an active member and help others on the forum. I frequent Tacomaworld and now will be frequenting here since my truck is now modded to the point of happiness (for now). Just if y'all are curious here is a picture of my Taco(ma).
Welcome! I have an 05 MCS as well. Love it. You'll need to find some twisty roads. I know IA is a bit tough to find. I used to be in Lincoln, so I understand! Now in SC with lots of twists and turns! Keep your eye on the oil levels and run 93 gas if available and it will go and go fast! Motor On!

I love how it's go kart feel is. The girl friend hates how I will try to go as fast as possible around exit ramps and turns. I have tried to get 93 but the only 93 I can find is 10% ethanol so I'm leary of running it. I typically run 91 with no ethanol.

That may be true for much of IA but we've plenty of great twisties up here in our neck of the woods. Thanks to the Paleozoic Plateau and karst topography, northeast IA, southeast MN, and southwest WI are great for MINI motoring.
