New to me 2009 Mini Cooper 6MT
 

Just checking in for one of my first posts here. I'm active on other BMW forums and am very happy to have picked up our first Mini Cooper. 2009 Cooper base Chili red, 6MT. Perfect and fun car to drive around. My girlfriend and I are loving every second of it! The chassis is very well made.

This weekend I've already put my blood, sweat, and tears into it by replacing all four pads and rotors, as well as doing a thermostat replacement along with a coolant flush. Running like new again. Feels fantastic!

I'm happy to be a part of your community and have already learned a lot about the car since I got the DIY for the thermostat from this forum!

Welcome to the Mini side of the family

Good to see another DIYer in the ranks. One thing that you should do early and often is oil changes. Ignore the factory service interval and do them at least every 5000 miles. This will keep you loving your MCS instead of paying big bills fixing motor bits. Welcome.:thumbsup:
