I'm back - and all dressed in black!
 

Well, I've come and gone over the last few years. I guess I am another MINIac!

I've been asking questions, sometimes a little stealthily, because I didn't want to give away the used JCW CM I was looking at. But now that it's mine... I guess it's ok to go public!

Picked up just this afternoon, having driven in from Nashville after lots of emails back and forth with the seller.

Some details - it's a 2013 lease return. After not even a couple of months! Got it with just over 2,000 miles on it. I guess someone didn't know what they were getting into and didn't like it.

Medium equipment - Nav, automatic, roof, auto climate control, the 19 inch wheels, driving lights. Interior is leatherette (which is what I wanted) with black trim.

Misses - not sure about the black, but it is beautiful when it's clean! I wish it had HK stereo, and Comfort Access, and maybe the red roof and red color line. And no flat floor :sad:

But overall, I really like it. I wanted back into a smaller vehicle (traded a 2011 Touareg Hybrid) with some pep.

Got it at http://www.dallasleasereturns.com for $36,750. Almost brand new, with a little bit of service/warranty coverage lost. For about $5,000 off! The tradeoff is that it wasn't quite configured as I would have liked, but for the price, all is good!

Just picked it up this afternoon - will have pictures when I get back home to Nashville later this week or on the weekend.

Welcome back to the dark side (literally in your case!). That's a very sharp looking JCW, great red stripes, and you scored a great deal on a 2K mile car. You can upgrade the speakers if needed, and there are a lit of threads on adding some color to the interior. I personally like the black on black roof on your CM. You don't get much snow in Dallas, but you'll appreciate the floor hump (and 4WD) when it does.

I have a black truck, and know that nothing looks as sharp as a black vehicle right after its been washed and waxed...unfortunately, you need to wash it several times a week to keep it looking like that!

I am a waver, although I don't think I've had much response in the past!

And I forgot to mention that my car has the black headlight housings and xenons - I really like how they look. My original CMS All4 had adaptive xenons. Will be interesting to see if I find any real difference in day-to-day driving.
