Took the plunge

Soon I will take delivery of a first gen MINI Cooper S. I think I’m prepared. While it’s a one owner car I plan to do the following immediately:

Oil pan gasket
Crank sensor seal
Crank seal
Oil cooler seals
Water pump
Change the supercharger oil
Thermostat
Thermostat housing
Replace the dipstick with an aftermarket one, not broken yet, but just want to be safe.
Install M7 strut tower plates

Some may cringe at all the oil seals, but there has been evidence of seepage and I'm not going to mess around

MINI ownership can’t be any worse than owning a MK3 VW. I hope this car is a lot more fun to drive

Welcome to NAM and congrats on your new MINI. That's quite a "To Do" list you got going there. We'd love to see some pics.
