Mini Oxford Plant—new Mini store opened--I'm hooked on Mini!
 

Two weeks ago I toured the Mini Factory in Oxford England. I am sold! This tour was the best £10.00 spent. I took the Paddington London train to Oxford, and jumped on the #10 busfrom City Centre to Horspath exit and walked across the busy roundabout toenter at gate #7. I took plenty of photos of the Mini Museum but no photos were allowed inside the factory. Fortunately, there is a new Mini store that just opened at the entrance to the tour. That was such a great tour! I only wish the store was opend when I was there in April!

Thanks! I'm totally going in about 2 years.

Every 5 years my company gives us an additional week of vacation to use for the 5th anniversary (2 weeks for 10yrs, 3 for 15, etc) and $2000 +$500 for each dependent ($3k +$500 for 10 yrs, etc). I am totally going to use my 5 year vacation to come and visit the Oxford Plant (this Nov is my 4yr anniv).

This wait for my free vacation is made to feel longer when I get to see cool pics like these that make me want to go even sooner. At least I will get to see the F series cars being made when I go.

Plan far ahead when you go, tickets go quickly.

I am glad everyone is enjoying these photos. I just added 8 additional photos of the scanned Cowley Chronicle newspaper they distributed at the end of the tour.

I had no trouble with getting tickets and I ordered online my tour tickets the week before my tour. Paid £10 at the door.

I checked out the other photos.. Nice job on putting this together..:thumbsup: Im going to have to take a tour when im over there..very cool!

Thanks for all the info on NAM! I ordered my 2014 JCW Countryman which is currently scheduled for production this month/August. Now all I need is to wait until it arrives.

According to the 1-800-ASK-MINI phone number, my JCW Countryman was released from the Graz, Austria plant to the carrier. Now its off to the UK and then for boat ride!
