Hello NAM members,

I recently purchased a bone stock 2009 R56 Cooper Base model w/Steptronic transmission (w/paddle shifters), Boost stereo (6-speaker, AUX-in, No USB, No Bluetooth) in Pepper White (w/black & gray vinyl interior) with 26.5k miles. I bought the car from the 2nd owner who bought it in 2011 as a CPO from Miami MINI where it had been leased and turned-in with ~14k miles. I plan to use the MINI as a commuter car for my ~60-mile one-way drive to work.

In the first week of commuting, I've routinely achieved a wallet-pleasing 35mpg highway cruising at ~80mph. My initial plans for modifying the car include sourcing a set of 17" factory wheels (e.g., R90, R108), iPhone/iPod, and Bluetooth integration. Eventually, I may want to consider a cat-back sport exhaust (e.g., Magnaflow stainless). I'll be watching the Marketplace for some deals on these things.

Look forward to hanging out with you all and to learning more about my MINI.

Cheers,
Tim
