So Excited! It's Like Santa is Coming!

Just needed to share that my hubby and I pulled the trigger and found the best MINI around. It just happened to be on the boat already and docking in CA when we made the decision that this is what we wanted. I am so excited I can barely sleep. So today we heard from our MINI guy that it will be shipped out from the California dealership to Seattle either tomorrow or Monday. Within 10 days we will be the proud owner of a Midnight Black, Bayswater MCS. navigation, xenon lights, heated seats, sunroof/moonroof.

I am hoping that we will have it sooner than 10 days. Since Saturday I have been like a kid staying up all night waiting for Santa! I can not believe we did this, it is so not like us. I think that we are both going through mid-life crisis' :)

Any advice for newbies like us?

Thanks, Jamie & Doug

Hi! Welcome to the forums. Your new ride sounds GREAT! :) No advice other than to drive it like you stole it! You think waiting a week is bad? Try waiting 6-8 weeks!

I don't think that I could wait 6-8 weeks. I would drive myself crazy, let alone my husband! No worries about driving it like mad. One of the reasons that I think Doug even considered a mini was because I told him I wanted either a scooter or motorcycle  This was a compromise! He has already said that might not let me drive it if I go too fast, hahahaha.

Those were the words of our MA last Monday! Picked her up on Wednesday evening with 9 miles on her and have been having a blast. We are still trying to figure out all the gadgets inside and where everything is. It really was like Christmas. Hubby says that this is our Christmas present at least for the next 5 year

my advice, hang a dollar bill from the visor to remind you when you look down and you are doing 90. congrats and have fun. got mine in may and still have not gotten tired of it as a matter of fact I let my bike sit in the shed all summer and took the mini

+1
Very sharp.
Enjoy.

Oh, a couple of pieces of advice
...go find some other MINI drivers out there and go have fun with them.
...change the oil at about 1000 mile. If you don't want to do it, pay the Dealer to do it. And then change the oil every 5-7000 mile after that. That will give you piece of mind for a long time.
...Visit NAM and let us know how it is going with it.
