New 04 MCS owner!!
Posted a few times on NAM and realized that I hadn't put an intro out here. This is my first MINI after wanting one for several years. I live in Lynchburg, VA so the closest dealers are in Richmond, VA and Raleigh, NC. Therefore I will probably get a lot of parts and stuff off of the ol' interwebs!!
Found this one at a local VW dealer and decided to go for it! 2004 MCS, 6 speed manual that is bone stock right now. It appears to have been well taken care of, so all I did upon getting it was oil change/trans fluid change/brake fluid bleed/air filter/cabin air filter/spark plugs/belt. I plan to tackle a 15% pulley in a few weeks as I build up the courage.
So far I love the car. Yes, it has some scratches and dings, and yes the inside dash parts rattle some when it is cold, but for a car to be this fun and still get great gas mileage you can't beat it!!
This forum is great as I have found so many tips and tricks to help me fix a few things like aligning the drivers window, and unclogging the rear wiper washer. Thanks so much!!
