Hello from a mile above the sea!

A mile above sea level that is.

I'm a new forum member, with a home base near Vail Colorado.

Though I'm currently Mini-less, I owned an 06 Cooper for a couple of years, which I still have the pleasure of seeing with its new owner. The photo attached is of the 06.

I'm currently negotiating a buy on a 2010 Mini and getting close. Details will follow once our next MC/S is in the driveway.

Happy motoring!

Welcome the forum Canyonlands and (hopefully) welcome back to the brand! Good to see that the MINI was good for another go around. Your ex-MINI looks gorgeous and I cannot wait to see what you are able to negotiate off the lot! Can't wait to see the new baby's pix!

Thanks and thanks.

Negotiations have gone very, very well. We'll see how delivery shapes up. The car is an inbound I learned of, currently at the final processing center. It's nothing outside the ordinary for a Mini. A long running color choice, typical roof for the color, nothing fancy inside, standard bodywork for the series. The exact car that I would have ordered myself, in fact, I built the same combination on the Mini site and left it up on my screen for most of a day a few days before deciding just to buy anything on the lot that spoke to me. I called the dealers to make sure there were at least a couple of cars to look at and that's when I was told about "door number three".

Kinda hard to believe and I reportedly have 5-10 days before I'll be standing on the lot looking at her. That will be a 2.2 hour drive to the dealership, an hour (?) there, and a fun filled 1.8 hour drive home.

Just spent several days in Winter Park and Denver. Love it out there!

Hope the next few days pass quickly for you. Happy motoring!

Thanks LG. The first drive to get the car home might need to exceed the break-in limitations. It's hard to stay in the lower revs and off the brakes driving from Denver to Vail.

DBD, as you can see from my sig, photos of my inbound MSC might look familiar.
