New owner in Brossard Quebec with a new key that doesn't work!

Hello, Just got a Mini-Next Cooper S 2006 SB Checkmate two weeks ago but one key was missing.
The dealer ordered a new key and when I picked it up late at nigh, the dealer did not tell me if it was ready to use or not.

So I read the manuals, recharged the key (driving with the key for a week) and I cannot open or close the door with the remote functions buttons!

Do I have to programmed the key at the Mini dealer?

Can we have two different keys with two different settings? The manuals seems to indicate it is possible but the service representative at the dealer told me only the car memory can be setup?

I am always thinking that the dealer is more BMW oriented than Mini oriented but it may be different in other city.

I wished I have bought it, back in 1977 , but the deal I have made failed because the owner loved it too much and cancel the deal.... So now I am back in my Mini and still in love with the Mini as I was 33 years ago.

I just loved my Mini!

Thanks for your help.
