NOT YOUR FATHER'S MINI
1 Attachment(s)
Today at about 0900 East Coast time, one of the toughest endurance races inthe world will get on its way, the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring, in Germany. Among the 200 cars that will participate, there are a handful of MINIs. I will be driving the one pictured. it is a two car team, me, being old and bald will drive the #144 Alpecin-Schirra MINI COOPER S, which is the slow one. We have qualified in 28th place in group 2 (Group one is for things like Porsche GT3 Rs) while our sister car, the 145 is way up there on the front row of the class and 6th in the group.
The Nurburgring track as some of you may know, is like 17 miles long and has 80 some turns in the configuration we will race today. Best Personal Regards Andres |

Welcome to NAM!

Good luck in the race today, you say you are old and bald, what age are we talking, and how about your co-driver(s)? Anyway 24 hours is a good way to learn the ring and it is long enough to keep you from getting bored. Please let us know the results and would love to see any pictures that get taken. Did a 12 hour race 40 years ago it was very draining, don't think I could handle now at 73, especially when it's dark time.
