Thanks mini6322, my Dad had so much fun - which pleased me to no end. And I'm with you on the wait, it nearly killed me. And maybe my marriage! It seemed all I could talk about was where my MINI was...... drove everyone crazy!

 

Yeah, I think I am driving my wife crazy. I have not told anyone else about the order yet so she get the brunt of it. Well, she and my MA.

 

After nearly 30 years of marriage, my wife has pretty much come to grips with my obsessions (like tracking my MINI's every move). As for the wait, it is killing me, and I already HAVE a MINI.

Now, if I could only get my MA to answer his email

 

My wife kept making fun of my obsessing, and then I catch her trying to track the boat its on!

Does anyone know if a "british" horn, that uses the British tones, is available to replace the existing horn? american horns are so boring...

Finally a response from the dealer. Car was supposed to be unloaded today at the dealer... but they don't have the title yet, so it will have to wait until next week sometime. {sigh}

That stinks! Hopefully they'll get the title soon. It's so close!

 

I know.... I guess they Fedex the titles via another channel, but I can't imagine why.

I talked to my MA earlier this week and he told me my car will be in later this week. Only problem is I'm gonna be out of town then

So, we setup May 3rd for delivery day. MINI DAY!!

I figured I'd pop in & say "hello." Yes, it's raining here in NJ and will be for the next few days. I do have one photo I took at the dealer which I'll post soon. I should have taken more yesterday while the sun was shining but I was too busy driving & making more room in the garage since Miles is slightly wider than my old Echo.

I'm not sure if all ports work this quickly, but the Tijuca docked in NY/NJ on Wednesday morning, and my car was at the dealer that day or early on Thursday when my MA called to say I could pick it up on Friday. I guess it depends on how far your dealer is from the dock. I'm guessing mine is an hour or so away.

 

 

Sweet looking ride! Gratz! One more week for me, I think. Maybe next weekend, but I'm thinking next Monday is more like it.

I'm feeling the same way. I was waffling on the wheel colors and ended up going with black. I saw a similar S on friday with the silver/grey powdercoat and thought for a moment 'should i have not gone with black??' it was a fleeting thought however. I stoked on the build. less than a week till the Faust lands in NY/NJ!!!
