Is, Quik Trip, premium gas good? cuz the Freezoni are yummy.

I've never purchased premium gas before for my Toyota Matrix!
Now, I have a MCS and I want to put premium gas at my local Quik Trip Gas station! Cuz, I love the blue Raspberry Freezoni drinks.. but its kinda werid about the Quik Trip website, it has a Myth about Premium Gas..its like they don't want to make money..
.ExternalClass .ecxhmmessage P{padding:0px;}.ExternalClass body.ecxhmmessage{font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;}http://www.quiktrip.com/gasoline/myth.asp What type of Premium quik trip carry? 91 , 93? in Texas? So Quik Trip is Good??? Thanks

i only get my gas at quick trip and I haven't had a problem with it. Car runs better than on unleaded IMHO.... Quick Trip has 91 octane. Not very many stations has 93 anymore around here in KC,MO.

That Quik Trip link is telling you the exact, whole truth. Octane isn't about quality. The API has other standards for that. Higher octane doesn't make gasoline superior in any way. It is only needed to reduce the tendancy for preignition and is generally only required in cars with high compression or forced induction. For MINI, the justas are the former and the S'es are the latter, so MINI recommends premium fuel.
