First-ever MINI decision: English Oak Wood with Wood Sport Wheel?

Hello and thanks for clicking! I'm happy to say I'm about to become a very grateful member of the motoring community, having spec'd out a humble pure silver Cooper base that I already know I'm going to drive joyously through at least the next couple of decades...

My question is - and thanks for hearing it - what dash/trim/steering wheel to get? I'm leaning very strongly on English oak trim surface with the chrome line interior, and think that the wood sport steering wheel is the way to go. Still, I'd be very interested to know if anyone has been at this decision point, then decided to go for something else. If so, why? Alternately, if someone had their mind made up on some other dash/trim combo and then went for English oak.

Also - and sorry to say that this is really important to me - does the grain/finish on the OEM wood sport steering wheel match the English oak interior surface?

Thanks so much! If you've got pictures, I'm sure I as much everyone else would love if you would show off and post them so everybody could admire them. Yours - Peter (Vienna, Va)

Hey Peter--can't help ya on the trim / steering wheel combo, but congratulations on the new MINI. I know you'll have a blast Motoring around. I got mine just about a year ago; haven't had any problems and I still love driving it! Motor On!

I went throught this decision when ordering my Clubman last year. No wood dash or steering wheel on lot to check out. I ordered the English Oak Dash and love it and the look with regular trim , not Chrome line.
My MA told me the wood wheel gets real hot in the sun so I didn't order it.
Saw one later, it didn't really match the dash all that well...
