Um yeah... We're new (w/pics)
So after first test driving a mini a little over 2 years ago we finally have one  Its an 06 JCW convertible 38000 miles and it's perfect! We got it on Saturday and on Sunday decided that it really needed some bonnet stripes (lucky us we have our own sign shop) So after a few minutes on the computer and a few more in the driveway that problem was solved. Now we are looking for some rims and tires for it. I think we got a good deal $22,000 Anyway with out further ado here's some pics. BTW it still needs a name.

clean. welcome! nice vert
like the stripes but the JCW things are pretty cheesey...my $.02 |
Oh!, not at all. First thing that caught my eye on the most excellent custom bonnet stripes.
The JCW emblem is a nice customization, +1  If I had a real JCW I would PM you with a request. :) Very nice 06, looks good. |
Thank you. I thought the JCW in the stripe might be a bit much at first but then once they were on I really liked them. The pics dont do them justice the silver pinstripe and logo are Avery Ultra Metallic and they realy pop in the sun.

very nice... congrats on both car and stripes
|
Beautiful! I definitely love the Chili Red on the cabrios...
|
Looks great! I really like the jcw in the stripes, I've never seen anything like that before!

Beautiful convertible you have there. I just purchased an '06 JCW hardtop myself. Love the bonnet stripes as well. I'd like to get the new JCW badge for the boot, but can't bring myself to shell out the $95 for it. You're lucky you have your own shop!

love it~!
But the tires look different/funky to me for some odd reason i'm not sure; i can't quite put my finger on it |

That is the perfect car. Congrats!

Congrats on the car, she's a beauty!
And Welcome to the family! |
Wow looks great and 22k for a Vert JCW was a good deal.
|
Very nice... looks well taken care of, too.
Besides ditching the run-flats and the S-Heavies, any mods planned ? BTW, I had the same wheels on our convertible and went with aftermarket rims... LOVE them. Much better than the OEM wheels. BTW, we had a helluva time finding someone who could, and wanted to, remove the low-profile run-flats. Apparently, they're a real b..... bear. As for a name, I think only you can pick one. You know his/her personality. |
Sweet, saucy salsa...that is one fine ride, welcome. Ouch!
|
Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. There are definitely going to be more mods but we don't want to get ahead of ourselves. As for the heavies and run-flats they will probably stay together and get stored for emergencies and the new tires will be put on aftermarket rims. Also, we are looking for a wind deflector at a good price.

Beautiful ride! Love the JCW Stripes!
 |
Sweet looking convertible! I love to see a "peek" of red brake caliper in there. Are those JCW brakes or an aftermarket add?
|
They are JCW the car is a factory JCW. I was eyeing the 13inch willwoods this morning I just cant imagine brakes that big on such a light little car.
|
Very pretty! Wheels look good to me already!
Congratulations and welcome! |
looks great
