I'm back...! Well, almost...
I'm not entirely new to NAM, but it's been about a year since my last visit. Some of you may remember me as "nallen00", and I wouldn't blame you to feel more than a little unsettled by my presence here. I'd like to take this opportunity to provide some background and make amends.
My last interaction on NAM was an epic faux pas, and looking at it now is just embarrassing. While certain life experiences made a contribution, there is really no excusing my behavior. It took several weeks for the consequences of my actions to settle in before realizing that I had expatriated myself from an entire community - one full of people that I had come to respect and, in some cases, revere. I apologize to those members I offended, to NAM-founder Mark Ferguson, and to the community at large. I wasn't myself back then - in fact, the consensus among friends and family was, "Jesus, Nate...what were you thinking? No more club events for you!" And they were spot on. I even sold Pepin, my '02 EB/W MCS. At that time, the present circumstances of my life ran pretty deep, and everyone suffered - people I love...people that would do anything for me. It took serious introspection and a lifestyle change, but I've moved on, and am currently shopping for another MCS. It's exciting, and I'm eager to start turning wrenches, rip some tarmac, make acquaintances, and, perhaps, make a few new friends. After all, that's what this car is all about, and I'm confident I'll never lose site of that again... http://www.nathansallen.com/WebPhotos/Sig.png |
Welcome back.
Best of luck in your hunt for the right MCS. Dean. |
I don't remember you OR your epic faux pas.
But given that post, I'll have to find time to search the old threads to get the scoop.  If anyone here was still angry with you, that very humble post should alleviate their ire. |
Wow - seriously classy post.
I didn't know you then (which sounds like it might be a good thing), but let me be among the first to welcome you back! |

I didn't know you then (which sounds like it might be a good thing), but let me be among the first to welcome you back! Agreed. Agreed. Great show of character, man. Welcome back. |
Honestly, I was a bit hesitant to do this, but it's a major relief, and I really appreciate the warm welcome
I'm hoping to have the new car by the end of March...and I still have a few parts from the '02 EB, including a Helix/OBX header, Volt cat-back, K-Sport coilovers, M7 V1 AGS, and others - all of which I'd like to have installed in time for the Dragon  Thanks again, fellas. Nate |

Well, I was here (sort of), but wasn't offended, and have no clue about who was or what happened, but that was very humble of you.
Welcome back, dawg!  |
Please forgive me, but I told you so. I predicted long ago that Istma would lobotomize everyone caught thinking an independent thought. Now that he has, I'd like to express my thoughts on the matter. Here's the story: The poisonous wine of narcissism had been distilled long before he entered the scene. Istma is merely the agent decanting the poisonous fluid from its bottle into the jug that is world humanity.
While most people know this like a schoolchild knows that 2+2=4, Istma once had the audacity to tell me that the Eleventh Commandment is, "Thou shalt replace discourse and open dialogue with stinking objectives and blatant ugliness". My riposte was that Istma is currently limited to shrieking and spitting when he's confronted with inconvenient facts. In the near future, however, Istma is likely to switch to some sort of "take us all back to the Stone Age" approach to draw our attention away from such facts. As brown-nosing as his criticisms are, he has never been a big fan of freedom of speech. Istma supports pogroms on speech, thought, academic license, scientific perspective, journalistic integrity, and any other form of expression that gives people the freedom to state that unruly and voluble, Istma's apologues resemble a dilapidated shed. Kick in the door and the whole rotten structure will collapse, proving my claim that Istma's planning to exploit issues such as the global economic crisis and the increase in world terrorism in order to instigate planet-wide chaos. Planet-wide chaos is his gateway to global tyranny, which will in turn enable him to erode constitutional principles that have shaped our society and remain at the core of our freedom and liberty. Mutual efforts against avaricious interdenominationalism are not just an educational process designed to teach people that Istma evinces a bulldog-like instinct for going after the jugular of his intended victims. These efforts also serve as a beacon, warning the world of the huffy consequences of Istma's muzzy-headed crusades. We were put on this planet to be active, to struggle, and to embrace diversity. We were not put here to promote promiscuity and obscene language, as Istma might allege. Some people have indicated that I would much rather hinder the power of impetuous kooks like him than waste my precious time chastising the worst classes of profligate moochers I've ever seen. I can neither confirm nor deny that statement, but I can say that if I had to choose between chopping onions and helping Istma suppress controversy and debate, I'd be in the kitchen in an instant. Although both alternatives make me cry, the deciding factor for me is that Istma somehow manages to get away with spreading lies (the majority of vengeful cadgers are heroes, if not saints), distortions (children should get into cars with strangers who wave lots of yummy candy at them), and misplaced idealism (his activities are on the up-and-up). However, when I try to respond in kind, I get censored faster than you can say "auriculoventricular". Thus, in summing up, we can establish the following: 1) Istma's a stupid person's idea of a clever person, and 2) my psychologist friends tell me that his credos are very much in line with harebrained clericalism in that they prevent us from getting in touch with our feelings. .... I haven't been here long but you seem like an okay person to me. edit: Automatic Complaint Letter Generator, yes, it's just a joke. :P |
Hey, I'm a psychologist, but not a shrinky-dink. So, I'm not so sure about all the mumbo jumbo in #2 up there.
But if the shrinky-dink says it is... then he's probably full of it! (just kidding... sort of ) |
Thanks, fellas  |

Welcome back.
Yeah, I went back and looked at "the thread." Funny how things can rocket out of control. We have ALL been there in some way at some time or another. There are no Ghandi's on this forum. |
Oh OK Got link
