I think when some folks on NAM use the word "mod" it refers to performance improvement regardless of loss of comfort, and when you say "best ride possible", it can mean the STIFFEST ride possible that can turn like its on rails, but lose your fillings in the proccess. All a compromise for performance.
But I know what you mean, my ex-GF kept telling me the same about my MINI-thats why she's an EX.

1) Get rid of the run-flats and try a "minus 1" approach (one size wider and one size taller.

2) Ask dealer to sell you non "S" springs ask for their softest springs (non "S" for car with no sunroof and no options", or keep a lookout for folks with R56 just a coopers selling their stock spring for stiffer lower ones-they'll sell real cheap. Not to many aftermarket yet for R56, but R53 older model people put KONI FSD Shock with stock springs or H-Sports. Go to NAM marketplace see if anyone will do a trade of parts?

Welp that is amazing, one legitament response out of 5.

1) non-run-flat tires - almost anything - your choice as to performance vs. cost
2) light wheels - under 15 lbs would be good, under 10 affordable - size 15" or 16", nothing larger
3) Koni FSD shocks - keep your stock springs

FSD's are harsher over some stuff, smoother over others. I wouldn't call them better by any stretch.

Little softer springs, shocks and swaybars along with non-runflats and more sidewall in an A/S type tire....

Do they make KONI Frequency Response Dampeners for R56 or do the FSD's also fit on R56?

I guess that depends on your setup and objectives. Mine are definitely better for ME. After 35,000 miles of getting beat up by the sport dampers... I vastly prefer the FSDs for my driving style. Not night and day - and don't make the suspension "soft"... but do take the edge off highway expansion joints and small potholes and railroad crossings and such... not what I'd want for a track car or if I wanted to lower... but perfect for me. :nod:

Alas, I don't think they're available yet for R55/R56.
