Hey TECENG - quick update. Apparently my MA sent me an email after he failed to reach me via phone and the email got buried deep in my SPAM folder. He is saying the same thing your MA is - we should be getting our rides this week! I do think the fact that we both don't have add-ons has a lot to do with their confidence. Can't wait!

 

Aw darn, now I am geeting way too excited. I thought they were just being optimistic, but maybe dreams really do come true

 

Anyone on the left coast have a firm date to pick up their rides yet?

Nope. Just talked to my MA. No updates. He was polite, but sounded like he was answering phone calls from would-be owners all day.

 

I'm picking mine up Friday!!

 

LaurenC - congrats!!! very excited for you. Please tell us how it goes either on this or the Week 32 forum!

 

My MA emailed me. He said my MCS is getting new clothes put on. Those were his exact word.... He is guessing early next week....so no MCS for me this weekend...

BTW, I just finished loan app at Penfed... got it approved in 30 min.... so easy..

I got the call from my MA this afternoon. My Clubman just arrived at the dealership and I will be picking it up tomorrow afternoon! TECENG - not sure if you checked in with your MA today but if you have not then I would suggest you do so. Will report back on first impressions tomorrow night!

 

So lucky... i gotta wait one more week.. Probably will to Southbay MINI by early next week... Im just waiting for my check from Penfed. Hopefully it comes by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week and THursday the car comes.. it will be perfect since i have a day off on Thursday...

 

MA, wouldn't commit to saying any real time frame, but Vegas should get their first truck late next week or beginning of next.

 

Your time will come soon, Doc. Hang in there. Here's hoping for Thursday!

 

I think MA's are notoriously conservative. Mine wouldn't even throw me a bone as of YESTERDAY AFTERNOON! I guess they don't want to over promise.

Boy it has been a long and exciting day. Things went smoothly at the dealership. I found one small defect in the black outer trim which was immediately fixed (replaced). The 40 mile drive back home was very enjoyable - this car is as fun to drive as I expected it to be. Very happy. I'll post more details over the weekend. Here is my clubby:

I am still to hear from TECENG though. Hopefully his Mini will be picked up very soon.

Mine will arrive at the port on 9/29...and I am trying to see if a pick up on the weekend of 10/4-5 is possible at Eastbay.

I was going to call my MA yesterday, then I thought I would just stop by after work, and then I never made it over there. I have plans to stop in today and check the status of my car. I guess if they haven't called, it's not there yet so there is not much I can do

At least you two will have fun this weekend! Drive safe and put lots of miles on...break-in is not too far away

 

Woo Hoo! I just ran by the dealership this morning. My MA checked and my car is in. We went over to the other lot and sure enough there is was! He said he would get a full tank of gas and get it detailed today so I can pick it up later this afternoon.

What a nice surprise, I was totally expecting to have to wait until next week.

 

My MA called. Car will be ready tonight. But I cant make it tonight... gotta watch the USC game and having guests over. Trust me, i want to just cancel the football gathering and go pick it up. haha

So 10am tomorrow morning... my MA is having all the paper work ready.
Ill post some pics!! I feel like a little kid waiting to open presents tomorrow... i feel young again!

BTW, ,y car had JCW aero kit painted and installed. It took like a week.

 

Yep - it arrived at the dealership Thursday afternoon, and I picked it up Friday. Remember, though, if you ordered accessories like stripes or driving lights, it may take longer at the VDC since there is a chance either/both will be installed there before shipment to the dealership.

Doc - that's great! Happy to hear your car is ready. Boy, I saw the 'SC game .. and it wasn't much of a game. What a yawner! Wasn't even close.
