Finally, the WW site shows all the vehicles on our booking number delivered. I called 'ask mini' and it now says that my car is at the port awaiting a transportation vessel (OL isn't updated yet). Now I think it's time to call my MA and ask WHEN?!?!

It has been a lot of fun and I hope we continue to share our motoring experiences in the future. Good luck to everyone on the next step.

Thanks, MinnieMama. It's been a great cruise, but now I firmly believe the fun has yet to begin!

I too checked my status and I'm confirmed as "Delivered From". Sweet!

See y'all around...

I haven't spoken with my MA yet, but I sent him an email. Still waiting for word. He may be off today, though.

I just emailed mine. I'll give him an hour and then I'm going to call if I don't hear back - he made the mistake of giving me his cell phone number. Nice guy, lives about a mile from me.

Muhahahahaha...

You've got his cell number and you know where he lives? He doesn't stand a chance! He'd better stay on top of things!

Take your VIN number, and log onto the WW site and do a car tracking. My sister found her "thread" through the Canal based on the VIN number .

Exactly! Thanks, Bitzie. Your story immediately came to mind (Post #115 on page 5 of this thread). See? It can help others too.

Just click on the link below, enter your VIN in the window, click on "TRACK" and WW will show you the history!

http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTrac...trackType=Auto

From there, you can see when your MINI was booked, received at the terminal, loaded onto the vessel, discharged and delivered. Good luck!

Lucky me! The Owner's Lounge finally acknowledged that my car had indeed been dropped off in SoCal, and not held captive for a ride up to Tacoma.

Even better, the site suggests that my cars estimated delivery day is Sunday, August 24th! Won't be long now...

For those of you who are curious as to what transpires at the VDC, here are a couple of videos that the Owner's Lounge offers (one in Quicktime and the other in Windows Media Player, be forewarned: both are large broadband-friendly files)

Same here. Estimated delivery date August 24. YAHOO!!!

That's really good news - I've been reading on some other threads. Some have had theirs at the VDC for several weeks. I think that means that they had some damage and had to be fixed but maybe they're just really behind in processing.

I didn't hear back from my MA but it could've been his day off and I never got around to calling him. I've got to take my dogs to the vet this morning for their annual exam/shots and I'm going to call him as soon as I get back.

Oh, man, I'm having visions of motoring through Cuyamaca on a beautiful Sunday afternoon (THIS Sunday!).

Don't scare me.... My dealer is Irvine MINI, SoCal just like MinnieMama, and the OL doesn't say I've made it to the VDC. Are they trying to buy some time so they can fix a popped turbo, warped rotors, dropped transmission and some freak wiring gremlins that deploy the air bags when the head lights turn on? Did they accidentally ship me an Opel Astra and they're trying to do a quick conversion? Maybe I should I just hold back on the coffee? I agree, no.

I guess I just need to hurry up and wait... I mean keep waiting.

OH MY GOD! Jason just called and said they were unloading Minnie as we spoke! I can pick her up this afternoon - THIS afternoon!!!

Sorry, but I'm so happy RSXtoMCS. Don't panic yet! They had a lot to process. Were you having anything installed at the VDC - maybe they do the 'quick' ones first.

Well, I'm sitting here with a towel wrapped around my head - I'm going to be late to the vet but I just had to let everybody know.

Yeah, keep the faith, RSXtoMCS. Your little beast will be there in no time, I'm sure.

GREAT NEWS, MinnieMama! I'm so happy for you.

My MA said my car should be here real "soon." I think he's expecting it tomorrow or Sunday latest. We'll see... good times!

Good point but no, nothing VDC installed that I'm aware off. All factory options. I checked the cargo status and I assume I made it to the VDC yesterday morning. What were your time stamps?

I hope so. I'm selling my car today so the less time I'll have to be behind the wheel of a rented Kia or Ford (Focus) the happier I'll be.

Mine will be at the VDC for an extra 3-5 days due to the JCW aero kit install. I leave for 7 days tomorrow for Alaska so I'll pick him up when I return.

Sucks cause I live 10 miles from the VDC. But my dealer is 75 miles.

Thanks! Brecht MINI in Escondido. Jason Payton is my MA and a very nice person. I just talked to him and I'm heading there as soon as my husband gets home.

Which dealer did you go to?

I was perfectly fine being in ignorant bliss. Now you guys have let me know that the final tab in the tracking does indeed indicate a 'date expected'. I'm in Central California and have to wait for a weekend to be able to pick up mine. I have a feeling next week is going to be a looooonnnnnnggggg week. :-)

The news just keeps gettin' better...

Check out this email I got from my MA:

"Chris,

Thanks for following up with me.

I found out from my manager today that we are expecting your MINI to arrive
sometime today. This means that we are prepared to have service inspect and
then have the MINI detailed as soon as it arrives. I will call you to
confirm its arrival and set up a time to have you pick it up soon.

Sound good?

Creed @ Niello MINI"

Sounds bloody good, if you ask me!
