"AIDA" Departs Southampton July 30th With A Belly Full of MINIs!
Aida has come and gone....... she dropped her cargo of minis in the dead of night and left already. My GPS shiptracker had her at port early this morning. Shes no longer on my radar. Unless she sank
What's your source? Can you share the link? Inquiring minds wanna know where their MINIs are!
And to no surprise, the OL still thinks my car is "en route," not at the VDC.

You can go to the Wallenius Wilhelmson site at http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/cargoTrack.do
and click on auto cargo and put in your VIN. It shows the status of your vehicle. From there you can get the booking number and then go back and select booking number and see all the VINs and their status.

Oh, also, if you click on printer friendly version you can scroll through the entire list of VINs instead of page by page. Still don't see anything unloaded yet. There are two other sections (by vessel and by voyage) that you can go to for ship schedules which shows the ports that the AIDA has been to, when sheleft and when she is scheduled to arrive at the next one. When she leaves port, it turns red. Port Hueneme isn't red yet.
WELL I GOT MY MINI!
Did you? It just arrived today. I ordered it on Thursday, August 7th and it just arrived via international mail from Canada.
Oh yeah...one minor detail (or is it MINI?), it's a scale die cast model!

It'll have to do until the "Actual Size" version arrives.

Well hmmm the only thing I can do is go down there. I'll go down a little later and see what I can find out for you. In case any of you havent seen it there is a sticky on the BMW facility here at the top of the 1st gear section.
That would be AWESOME! Only if it's not too much trouble. There are a lot of expectant mothers and fathers here waiting for word on their babies. How sick am I?
No, really. We'd all appreciate any news and/or pix you can share.

I hate these blackouts. As long as I can 'see' what's going on, it's not so bad but I can't stand being 'blind'.
I don't know what I'm going to do when I actually get her - I'm addicted to searching the web for news on where she is. Oh, I'll be MOTORING!!!
I'm still having delusions of the delivery happening this weekend.

Sorry they are not as good as I wanted but there is no way to get a close shot of her. Pt. Hueneme is a military port and the actual port is a military facility. Im not military so I cant get behind the gate.
But, as I went up to a point where I thought I could maybe see something I figured out she was leaving! Shot one shot and then drove to another location further up the coast to see if I could get a good shot of the side. This is with a 600mm lense. Enjoy everyone our babies are on dry ground!

Im thinking that the GPS did not pick her up at port...
1. she was turned off to refuel or
2. it has something to do with the military port and security.

Thanks Mitemini!
When I checked the WW site around 7, it showed Port Hueneme in red (meaning she had already left port). The cargo tracker, however, still shows all the vehicles as 'loaded on vessel'. I wonder what's up with that?

That's GREAT! I wish I had a "we're not worthy" emoticon; I'd use it! Thank you for getting those photos. They're awesome!
I agree with your theory about the "blackout." I wonder if it explains why the ship vanished from the ship tracking site when it was expected to be in Manzanillo, Mexico. It "reappeared" some time later, when they showed some progress up the coast of Central America.
Honestly, BIG THANKS for snapping these pix for us. YOU ROCK!
So our MINIs are finally on U.S. soil. "Yeah baby, YEAH!"
"I'm feeling shagadelic!"

Well, it's official... "Aida" is once again, on her way. Tacoma, here she comes!

But their status has yet to be updated, unless of course my car decided to stay along for the ride to Washington.

No problem everyone.
You might want to check out this link as well for where the arrived http://www.portofhueneme.org/home.php goto Port at work then rolling in the autos. But there are many pictures of minis and the WW cargo ships.

A belated thanks to mitemini! There are some pretty cool people in this thread...must be because they are all "Mini Motorers"...soon to be, anyway!! This tracking thing has really been fun, thanks to all of YOU!
