UGH. My dealer has no info. They still show mine as arriving at port 7/26, nothing else. Yet when I look at the data on the Owners Site, it says Est. Delivery 7/31. We need another dealer up here, these guys need some competition!

Anyone taking delivery from Nor Cal or Portland and have better data?

 

I'm not so sure....my MA just emailed me and said he doesn't know when my car will get there....It must not have been on the same truck, which is surprising.

 

Just got off the phone with my MA, the car has arrived at the dealer!! (very surprised it got up to the NW that quickly)

A few options to be installed by the dealer and it may be ready to pick up Fri evening- He will call to confirm tomorrow (could be pushed to Sat). Either way very excited

 

I ordered mine from the Portland Oregon Rasmussen Mini dealer. The OL still says en route......I sent an email to Jarid asking him what's up and no response from him-maybe it is his day off?
Bummer, so jealous of all you S. Cal folks getting your cars so quickly...

ARGH! Why didn't mine get on the same truck??? Maybe they just don't know its there? When you go there tomorrow can you look for my BRG JCW Clubman for me? Not liking NW Mini right now!

 

Don't be too jealous of the So. Cal folks. I haven't received my car yet. My MA said they don't have an ETA yet, even though OL says ETA Sat. Aug 2. The other bonus is he said if the car arrives on Saturday, they don't have the techs on the weekend to do the pre-inspection so I'd have to wait until Monday.

 

I was really hoping to get my car on or before Monday, my 40th B-day. I'm not typically a big b-day celebrator, but the timing of the whole thing got my hopes up. What a present that would be!

 

Well i ordered mine at Rasmussen and it says estimated delivery date of 8/3. Anyone else have the same thing? Because i really need mine before that weekend.

 

Where on the OL is this "estimated delivery date"??? I have no such date showing.

Just out of curiosity, did anyone have port installed options? Supposedly that's what is delaying my car.

 

Click on "REVIEW ORDER DETAIL" - it is right in the middle of the screen.

 

What defines a port installed option? I'm having bonnet stripes installed, are those done at the port? If so, bummer! Cause I wanted the stripes over the clear bra that the dealer is putting on!

 

Bingo! Mine says 8/2/08 but my MA says it will get to their dealership tonight or tomorrow the 31st.....weird. Does the BMW computer brain just add 2 days for dealer prep and wiggle room?

 

Probably adds the couple days so the dealers do not get too pestered... I'm certain.

 

Bonnett stripes are factory installed. I don't know what makes an option port installed, but when my MA said "its $120 cheaper to have your driving lights installed at port rather than dealer" I said install them at port. So, I guess I'm trading money for arrival speed.

 

Finally mine says at the VDC and the OL says estimated delivery is 8/3/08, that is a Sunday. Does anybody know if that is the estimated delivery date for the mini to be at the dealer or in our hands? I know that Rassmussen Mini is closed on Sundays...

 

I'm waiting for my MCS to arrive at NW Mini in Tacoma. OL says delivery date 7/31/2008, today. Have not heard from my MA about picking it up though.

 

I have no idea whether that delivery date means at the dealer or done and ready to be in our hands, but i assume just delivery date to the dealer. But this is good news as earlier this week my MA told me that our earlier date of 8/8 wasn't possible, but since they got through the VDC so quick it looks like it will.

 

The estimated arrival date of my mini is Aug 1st. Depending on when the truck arrives will determine whether I can get the car this weekend or next week. The dealership is open on Saturday, but the techs aren't in that day. All I can do is hope for an early morning delivery.

 

Out of curiousity, when did you order your MINI?

 

My MA called yesterday to let me know that Winthrop is at the dealer patiently waiting for me to come fetch him.
