Yeah, I have the same time points, 16:00 on Sat and 07:30 today. I'm hoping my car gets to Torrance by Thursday....and I'll take the first bus after I get the word!

 

Since you have the same time and I assume Markus may have the same time, we are all probably part of the same data dump. Our vehicles were probably already staged in a specific area @ the port designated for BMW/MINI and may not be physically at the VDC. We are uncertain the vehicle is at prep yet. The Owner's Lounge has already proved irrelevant - my guess is when we physically have our cars it will be updated to state the car is at the VDC. We are just obsessed about our cars, the Owner's Lounge may be for one who sort of wants to know.

 

Too bad the Owner's Lounge is so un reliable. Like i said in a previous post. The MA told me between 3 and 10 days. However, due to the late arrival of the Undine, they are trying to arrange speedier truck transport.

Anyway, I have resigned myself to expect for the longer arrival;;;;;

 

Wow...the Undine is already in port at Tacoma WA....funny how fast it seems to travel when you don't care... :-)

Hey, now that we are getting close to receiving our Mini's, is everyone going to post pic's here or week 25?

Also, my MA told me they were scheduling me to have the driving lamps and sport stripes installed at the VDC, and it was looking like a delivery early next week. Bummer.

 

You mean sport stripes aren't put on at the factory? Or are these stripes not the same as bonnet stripes?? I'm corn-fused.

I think we should post pics here AND Week 25......why not?

From SC's custom order photo, it appears he is having the dealer installed stripes (not the 2 straight bonnet stripes), thus, they are VDC installed. Probably a good thing.

SB MINI confirmed with me the car is being delivered to them on Thursday. As long as it gets to the dealer by early afternoon so they can do a final cleanse and put their dealer tags, etc.., I will pick it up Thursday evening. If not, Friday!

UPDATE - MINI's website finally indicates the car is at the VDC... par for the course!

 

Really? Did you call SB Mini to check? I haven't heard from my guy.

 

They phoned me. Just look on the Owner's Lounge - It does provide an estimated arrival date. I think that's where they advised me from since mine shows 7/31.

 

Well, I have been pretty quiet. My Owner's Lounge is still showing enroute to VDC. It seems that they don't update equally. No calls from MINI about estimated pick up date. This part is worse than the whole voyage.

 

Where does it provide an estimated date? Mine says "En Route"

 

Apparently, some cars make it through the VDC faster than others. Mine still says "En Route" in the OL. I was at SB Mini yesterday and they have more complete information on their computer system. Mine was just "received" at the VDC yesterday and is scheduled to be at the dealer 8/2. They said it could arrive sooner if the VDC rushes to get things out before the end of the month. Give SB Mini a call or send an email I am sure they can provide you with an estimated delivery date.

 

Well, I think I will take the day off from real estate and clean out my garage and go to the dump! Gotta find room in that mess for a second car....this should be interesting.

 

The OL is showing at the VDC for my mini also.

I sent an email to my MA Monday asking about an eta and I haven't heard a word. I think I'm going to pick up the phone and start bugging him.

Your car was released to the trucking company today, which means it

EDIT: I don't think I want to wait that long......I'll take a bus up there tomorrow.

 

I called my MA today and my mini is also on the truck and on it's way to Colorado. It should be here on Friday. But he's still unsure of when I'll take ownership. He hopes no later than the 6th. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

 

The car arrived at the dealer today. I am getting it after work tomorrow.
