yeah no kidding, old vet sitting where the new baby needs to go!!!! problem is "wife vs. mother" for the poor hubby...

I think the "mother" needs to house her own car! and not at our house! Unfortunately she lives in northern NM, where my hubby is building her house, and the driveway is yet to be paved, so the vet cannot make it to her garage....

I have no emotional attachment to my civic. Now the 1973 VW Delivery Van; That's a different story. Many, many fond memories of that vehicle.

And YES... I was supposed to take pictures last night and ended up making potato salad for two hours, there is a lot of prepping and cutting involved for that! Then again.... selling car vs. potato salad....

Yea, my family has had this 90 accord since it was brand new. It was just kinda handed over to me when I turned 16 with the intent that I was going to buy it. When the crankshaft bearings walked and ruined the engine, my parents gave up and said that if I wanted to keep it, I had to replace the engine, and then they'd call it even. Almost 19 years, and this baby is still truckin!

Hi all,

I believe my Clubman is on the Asian Chorus. I just started tracking today because the owners lounge has had it as awating transport. After a little detective work, however, I'm pretty sure it's sailing. I only wish i had some pics early on.

Have you checked the cargo tracking? go here:
http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/cargoTrack.do

go to "Auto Cargo" on the right, and put your VIN in, it should tell you if your really on Asian Chorus. If so, you should be getting off the boat today as Asian Chorus is due in NY today sometime! YAY

Sorry I was mistaken, I forgot our boat was delayed a day initially, we won't be getting in to NY until tomorrow.... But still, it's CLOSE!

FYI folks, i post a link for the NY Harbor AIS in the tracking thread. Watch the Asian Chorus steam into port, unless you're on a 7 hour conference call tomorrow like me.

Now underway. It still says the destination is Newark, so either it was waiting to dock at a particular place earlier or the system hasn't updated the destination yet.

edit: ETA is showing 6/19, so I assume the info just didn't update we're now on our way to Panama.

proximal... I believe the AC left port in England a day later than expected so it actually arrived in NY today instead of yesterday.

It looks like it's on it's way to Panama per the WW schedule. It shows that it has both arrived and departed New York. Next stop MANZANILLO on Wednesday.

How is anyone tracking this ship? I can't find it anywhere

I guess the best tracker might be the one Krim found: http://www.shinemicro.com/Live.asp
(free registration)
currently it states that Asian Chorus' destination is Brunswick, USA... so we'll have to see if that changes and if it is accurate or not... at least it is located in the right area.

I haven't found any others that are up to date... vesseltracker and saliwx are both wrong or have no data.

i was on a 5 hour Live Meeting this morning and so i did the only thing a proper so-to-be daddy would do.. watch the AC sail into port and back out and laughed at the Mignon who got left behind

AC has a tentative passage through the PC June 25th 12:30am local time (EST) if anyone happens to be awake, I posted webcams for both locks and the bridge. Bridge will probably be too dark to see anything, but the two locks should be brightly lit.

You're right, spdrz06.
As of this moment, the AIS website says the AC's destination is BRUNSWICK, USA at 18:31..

AC needs a new captain, no reports to sailwx at all.

So, it looks like the backlog of ships waiting to cross the PC is causing a 2 day backlog of ships in the AC's class. So it wont cross til the 27th of June. Not sure if the shipping time estimates take the perpetual backlog into account.

Where are you finding this info? Keep us updated.

I'm trying to figure out if I can use something like TimeSnapper and Firefox's auto refresh feature to take the webcam pictures. I think timing might be an issue (I don't want a billion photos of the webcam in the progress of refreshing).

backlogged on accepting ships! ugh.. as long as they make up the time and still get in on July 3.......otherwise there might be some revolting MINIs.
