Today my EDD was re-scheduled from 7/13 to 7/14.

 

My EDD still says 7-11 and at VDC...until today that is. OL is now showing mine as "At the dealer". My MA hasn't told me when it would be ready yet, but they are closed on Sundays (in his defence). If I don't hear something tomorrow I may give myself an ulser.

just talked to my MA... car is in and should be ready for pickup on Wednesday, he said maybe Tuesday, we'll see...

I'm going tomorrow to look at it.

Still waiting for ours. EDD 7/7/08. MA confirmed last week that they were working on it at VDC, but no other info

 

I couldnt help but chuckle when i read that.

 

went down and checked it out at the dealer today... lookin damn good.

Definitely needs a good wash though. I think there's some of that crazy wax protection stuff that BMW uses on it in a few places. Other then that, she's perfect.

No definite date yet, my MA and I are hopeful for Wednesday.

 

that cosmoline is EVERYWHERE, i spent a few hours saturday morning cleaning bits and pieces from the UNDERSIDE of the bonnet (how the heck...) and there's still some showing up in wierd places.

 

EDD is now tomorrow, Thursday, at 4pm

 

Picked it up yesterday afternoon. No protective coating anywhere, spotless, everything works as it should. Some picks included. Note that my son even has the proper dog. I'm very pleased with the Aero kit appearance. Note how low the front air dam is - about 1-1/2" from the ground.

Holy crap I'm excited...probably won't sleep tonight even after drinking heavily with Mom, Dad and Hubby...I don't think I was this excited when my kids were born. Does that make me a bad Mom?

Tim is at the dealer MA still on vacation, I guess they're still cleaning and checking? He should be ready by monday (same day MA is back funny enough).

 

Hey, Pint - I feel for you. My MA takes Tuesday and Wednesdays off...why do you think I'm picking him up first thing Thursday?!?

The Clubman (no name yet) just got home, and got slightly too cozy
with my steep driveway. No harm done, though, despite the awful
scraping noise. MINI had the forethought to put a rubber strip on
the bottom of the front spoiler, and it survived without damage.
I'll have to adjust from driving the Expedition, which had a bit more
ground clearance .

I can attest that the hill start assist works. It felt very strange
to step off the brake on the driveway, and have the car just stay
there for a second or so, as if glued to the ground, despite the incline.

It's a good thing that I soon must take my dog for a walk. Gives me
a good excuse to look at the Clubman again

 

That sure is one great looking bulldog (car's not bad either...) I'll have to get my mother's bull to pose with my car. Dog's got a head like a cinder block.

I am scheduled to pick up Tomorrow @ 12:30. Can't hardly wait. Glad I made a fuss about having a plan b for when my MA went on vacation.

Mine went from getting in to portland saturday or sunday and being ready by today or monday to "I don't know where your car is, there is no paperwork"

He is the best car in the whole world...I LOVE HIM!!

He's not as "turquoise" as I thought he would be - a good thing.

The blue leather interior isn't as "blue" as I expected, but I do like it.

Finally heard from our MA. Our Clubbie should be at the dealer on Wed. EDD still says 7/7/2008

 

Same here, MA said it arrived Saturday morning, should be ready by mid-week!?!

 

The MA says our MINI is to be ready for pickup tomorrow. Appointment is for 3 pm, I can hardly wait!

 

I finally picked up Tim! The BRG/White is great! I love the car, punch leather is very comfy.

Hmmm, the salesman wants me to give them good feedback lol, like he actually did anything.

Enough about the dealer, time to have fun!!

 

Same here, my second MA (first one got fired) wanted me to give him a '5' on my survey... I didn't do so because he didn't go out of his way at all to make me think I had got decent service. I'm already thinking about getting another MINI and have been talking to Amanda at South Bay MINI and she's amazing in comparison to the service I got at Monrovia.
