I'm hoping to be on the K-Line's Emden which leaves on the 23rd. It is scheduled to arrive in Charleston on the 3rd of July... two days before the WW Courage, which departs Southhampton on the 21st. At this point a completion date of the 20th is fine with me!

I'm hoping for either the Emden or the Courage at this point. I just want my MINI underway!
How are you folks finding out about your cars being "in the body shop"?? Is this info from the 866 number? Online? Are you tormenting your MA??
866 number... MA might have the info too... I figured I'd at least wait until later tonight so my vehicle has been through another shift at Oxford before I start begging for an update...
866 automated system gives me the same message: In production with scheduled completion date of June 21......no other detail. Do I need to ask a live person if it's in the body shop? (not that I care....hahahaha)
I talked with a live body and he said he has no updates other than it went into production June 12th at 11:06am and it is scheduled to be finished June 21st. I think I will survive not knowing exactly where it is everyday. I assume they know how to build my car.........
I think a moving webcam for every vehicle moving through the factory would be a nice touch (fat chance)......or at least a couple of photos of my car sent to my email automatically every few days. I mean, this IS the computer/internet age, isn't it???

Probable good news for West Coast deliveries: WW has revised the voyage of the Undine to leave 2 days sooner (June 30 instead of July 2) There is a ship leaving Southampton on the 20th of June but I think Maxx (my car) won't make it because he gets finished on the 21st.
The Undine will now arrive Pt Hueneme on the 23rd of July.
LOL mine sould be out of the body shop today and completed Wens day
You know, when I hear a car is in the "body shop".....that's usually not a good thing!!!! What the heck is the body shop in a car factory??? Isn't the whole factory a body shop?
Welcome to the Week 25 psycho lounge. Where in the country are you?

I almost went with South Bay, but ended up going with Long Beach since I got a little off MSRP. Yeah definitely can't wait for it to show up, seems like I'm seeing more and more Minis around here every day.
Guess the strike did effect us, mine was to be completed tomorrow, Monday 16th was the original date, Body shop is backed up, I am in body shop since friday still, 1 more day for paint and 2 days for for the gauges, she said hope for friday, anyone behind me will have the same wait:( Crap!

Body shop today, my ASK MINI advisor said it's still scheduled for the 19th. I hope it's not pushed back too much :(
BTW, I did speak with the VP of MINI USA last night while in Charleston, and we were talking about the strike and our wait, and he said that the lag time stateside should offset some of the strike stuff because the production lines aren't backed up here so things should flow fairly quickly through the VDCs. He told me to still expect my MINI mid-July with the possibility of earlier. So at least that's good. I just want the MINI on a boat. That's my main concern right now. Out of the shop and on the sea!
