I wonder why we didn't get on the Tasco. Something had to happen for everyone here not to be included. I can only find two Similar VINs on the Tasco. WMWMF73548TT is the closest it gets.

I figured we'd be chugging along to Halifax by now, but we haven't even left port. Oh, well.

We will not be able to see much on the Southampton webcam as the departure will be at night. However, we should be able to track the Madame Butterfly when underway because local time will be 5:00pm MST or 4:00pm PST on Sunday. The port website where you get all the latest movement information is:

http://www.southamptonvts.co.uk/index.asp

The tracking website for tracking in and out of Southhamption (30 mile radius) is:

http://www.ais-live.co.uk/AIS%20Live/aissolent.html

If you want to track the Madame Butterfly from Zeebrugge to Southampton you can do it on this website, if you register (free):

http://aisfree.aislive.com/Influx.aspx

The Sailwx site has no position information on the Madam Butterfly, period (not even old information). When she is out in open sea it looks position information probably will be by deadreckoning.

For the MINI's coming aboard from the Tasco, one consolation is the the Tasco departed Southhampton two days late from the original schedule and the Madame Butterfly is now scheduled to depart Southampton one day early. That is only a loss of four days and with the holidays coming up it may not even be that. I'm an optimist.

Thanks for the cliffs notes, Heilige. I resigned myself to not see my mini until the first of February. It's sad, I'll have a pile of aftermarket stuff without even seeing the car.

We still are not scheduled or showing up on anything. We have been at the port for a week now.

I was told by my MA that it may be held at the port in Southampton until the other cars on the dealer's allocation list were built so that they would all travel on the same car carrier to their lot. Don't know if it's true though...

Is the 23:59 departure time local UK time? So the departure will be 18:59 eastern? Does that sound right to you guys?

I see the MB is underway. Don't exactly know what time she cast off but she's steaming at 15.3 knots through the straight. Yippee.

If anybody picks up the MB on sailwx.com let us know. I see she's no longer being tracked on the AIS system as she's too far out from the UK.

The MB was underway at about 8:00am MST. They dropped off the pilot at about 10:45am MST. She was making about 7kts until she was abeam of The Solent, then she picked it up to 12kts. She should be doing about 20kts in open water.
