I have been reminded by a forum member that I never introduced myself - He is right..... I have been on the forum now since about the last of Aug..

I am a 57 year old Fire Fighter in Turlock Ca - I Started as a Fire fighter in March of 73 and sold my Van to get a Pick-up ( unwritten rule - FF's here drive Pick-ups,lol) Well, Got really tired of the BAD mpg on my last PU, sold that in Aug - I have wanted either a Miata or Mini for several years... Test drove an 06 Miata (nice car) trying to find a local Mini to drive was not easy... Decided to drive to EB Mini for the drive... Got to tell ya, I was Not expecting the "Nice" ride, Very impressed.. Drove both the Cooper and the "S" - I really liked the "S" - However, I decided on the Cooper - PW - low optioned Mini - I have a Harley and a 66 Vette in the garage when I want to ZOOM/ZOOM-lol. I have learned alot from this forum and enjoy the friendship of its members....
The Mini crowed is very simular to the Harley crowed - they love thier machines and love to spend $$$$ on "making it theirs".

This is my Last year as a FF and looking forward to Retirment and enjoying My Mini and Harley.
