So - WA group...
Looks like BlueBelle will be taking a trip to the spa for a checkup this Thursday. (Do they serve Margarita's at Rasmussen?)

Kimberely - congrats on the new MINI decision. I'll definitely be interested to see what you think of the clubman. Have you driven one yet. I'm curious to see them on Thursday... on second thought maybe I'd better leave the hubby at home...

I am considering stopping at the candy store (Alta mini performance) while we are up there (you know in the big city).
So... Mini2na - what to you think of the intake you got from them? I think at this point I will only be working on my wish list - we'll see .
One of our Eugene group members got the chip and exhaust upgrade and gained several mpg efficiency ( and of course the extra hp is just a side benefit )

Then on the 24th there is a chance we will be heading in your direction Scoopmama! I am considering going to a conference in San Diego. If it works out maybe we can introduce our children to each other

Minicounter, will you be in town on Thursday afternoon. Maybe we can meet for margs with you. I'm not sure everyone is free, but I am. ~4PM? You know how to get to Beaches.

The Alta facility is beautiful. I have not installed the intake yet. I almost got it on, but took it off because I was missing a part. I still need to make it over to pick it up and to hear what a difference it makes in the sound of the engine.

Have a good trip up. Thursday is supposed to beautiful around here in the afternoon.

As long as one of the personalities in Sybil can find it I'm good! Sounds good.

Has anyone looked into the roof rack? I'm thinking of spending some of my MINI Visa points on putting one on. I understand the base almost completely comes off when you're not using it. I'd hate for BlueBelle to develop a complex if we do something to make her look goofy I figure she has ways of getting back at us - kind of like a cat..

Maybe if you call it a tiara, Bluebelle will go along with it. Otherwise, I'd just scale back on whatever you want to bring and keep Princess happy!

I HOPE you come down toward San Diego! We'll get together if you do. I'll be out of school by then!

(And this is nowhere close to how Mini2Na feels!

ONE MORE WEEK WITH KIDS AND STAFF, ANOTHER WEEK CLEAN UP AND I'M OUTTA THERE! (Yes, I was all-cap yelling. )

Woo Hoo!

If you need a rack Mini-Counter the MINI rack is the slickest there is. It is the mounting system that makes it a neat and clean install. It is not a ton of work getting it on and off, but you want to do it everyday. If I could justify it, (Retirement gift to FRODO? He won't be having to make that trek across the bridge every day anymore....) I'd keep it on in town and take it off if I could do without it on longer trips. (gas milage) I think they look nice. Especially if is filled with bikes, kayaks, snow gear. This might also qualify as a multi-functional tiara. You can change it to match the event!

Thusday sounds like fun, but 4PM is to early for us and I'm in between Dr. Appointments so I think I'll just be relaxing at home trying not to stress to much. Hope everyone enjoys themselves...My Favorite place on the Water is McMenamins...love those Dusk Filled Skies and watching the Day Fade!!

Moment of nostalgia. . . I just read the sticky about the server being switched today in the afternoon. NAM will be down. Do you all remember last August/Sept when we were tracking and they did the same thing?
Last year. . .
"DEVASTATION! PANIC! HOW WILL I SURVIVE FOR 4 HOURS?"

This year. . .
Oh Well. . .

I'm a better adjusted person with my MINI in my life!

I met with MiniCounter and husband today and got the LLC 101 class. I feel more confident having heard the whole process through over lunch. I'll start the paperwork tomorrow.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

Bluebell is looking pretty. I hope there are pictures up in the gallery after Las Vegas. NICE Anti-Bling!

I'll let MiniCounter tell everyone the BIG NEWS, but Frodo is one jealous car. I must put on the CAI now (got the BOV plug). He thinks he's not loved as much as Bluebell is. I think he has eyes for her. Woo Hoo!

What a great day. It was good to get together!

Check my gallery album for the cute little pen I begged a student for. Isn't the little guy worth having no sense of shame? I think so! When the car is disengaged from the pen, you ratchet it backwards, then let him go! He zips across the floor and does MINI proud!

Sorry for the posting delay but I had to ‘pay’ for my great day yesterday. Funny – I noticed that there is a 15th each and every month!
And what a great day we had with Mini2na and Frodo.
I would say perfect gentlemen - but I think they led us to some mischief...

Many thanks for the Thai food - I'm hoping it will tide me over until my next visit to a 'big city'. What could be better - good food, great company and my two favorite conversation topics - MINI's and taxes (in that order of course)

So after we got back to the spa I noticed that BlueBelle was parked in the same spot that we left her in - that's because she hadn't moved in 3 hours! Needless to say we missed our appointment for the afternoon..

And what appointment was that?? - the rest of you may ask... BlueBelle was scheduled to go to Altaminiperformance to have some 'go-fast, sounds-good, looks-good' installed. (Stealth Catback Exhaust with cold air intake system) Frodo and Mini2na introduced us to the 'dark-side'.

We did take a loaner Cabrio back over to Alta to make arrangements to have the parts shipped down. What a great 'top-down' day! And yes Mini2na - I managed to resist the chip and wheels the second time as well... well so far - it's not the end of June yet So - Frodo should know that BlueBelle is still catchable

As to the picture - or lack thereof...Bluebelle is a little shy and doesn't want her picture taken unless she has had a recent bath and has not had a 'bad bonnet' day. But I will see what I can do...

Scoopmama - nice poetry and I loooooove the pen!! I could do some serious work avoidance with one of those!!

Wow. . . Bluebelle has the goth princess thing going on! Very cool!
I'm clueless, though, about the DKR in your plate (I DO get the CPA bit! )

Sounds like you all had a great time!

Had our principal's retirement party tonight, and just got home. Need to get up early tomorrow to get Scoop to the MINI show. Can't wait!!!

Talk about sticker shock. A few years ago I could fill my Saturn with a 20. This last week---$45.00!!! Then I went to Trader Joes with 40 in my pocket and grabbed the regular 8-item load to get me through Thurs night-Sat morning. Usually between 35-38 dollars. NOT THIS TIME . . . 55 bucks! Thank God we're not in debt. It's scary to even imagine how some folks are making it. In this area, because of all the growth and home equity loans and 0% downs, there are hundreds of foreclosures.

Gee, need to leave on a high note. . . so I'll just think about the goodies Scoop gets tomorrow. . . windshield cover and grille badges are high on the list!

Vroom!!

Minicounter and all...Dr. Appts. were to follow-up on some tests I had had done. I've had vertigo episodes for 20+ years now and FINALLY had gotten comfortable with getting tested to see what was up...well the only "Medical Term" they are saying is Menier's Disease. Contrast MRI (NOT Fun) showed no Tumors and VNG just made me Dizzy as H-e-(Double Toothpicks). But I'm on medication, a Low-Salt and NO Caffiene Diet. I'm TOTALLY missing out on CHOCOLATE, but if I'm going to feel better I would rather live without some luxuries and feel better than be bed ridden. Thanks for the concerns.
Another lighter note...I'm hoping to do a COMPLETE Detail (Dawn, Clay, BW, Amigo & Epic) on Molly this weekend...Hubby has me assigned to Weed Detail outside, but I think I should still be able to get Molly all spiffed up too. Almost 2 Months since she's been home and I LOVE HER MORE EVERY DAY!!
Happy Motoring to All!!

RJ - So glad you're checking out the vertigo issues. However, instead of Miss Molly, I would have named MINI Miss Lizzie! "Ya make me dizzy Miss Lizzie!"

Said "Buh Bye" to the students today, and now begins the clean up. I wish I were one of those who gets everything ready so the last day with the students is the LAST day! But I always organize and putter for about a week after. . .

Hope all is well!

RJ - I wish you luck on your "no caffeine" change. My staff forbade me to go on another diet that eliminated caffeine after my last attempt I do hope that you get some relief. Did you get to give Molly her bath?

Scoopmama - my accountant told me if I used my website address as the license plate I could write off the entire cost of my car and related accessories! Well - OK I would guess I would get free housing for doing that (away from my BlueBelle )

OK so tomorrow BlueBelle goes under the knife ! I found a friendly surgeon to install the exhaust and intake. Terry is back in the chair and I'm a little concerned about our "do it yourself" abilities anyway...

Sooo - if I ever stop driving I will hopefully have a report by the end of tomorrow!!

Very nice. Did you do the wax by hand or do you have one of those fancy machines?
