Drywall dust? It won't be my house. I won't have to live in it!

I don't know if it is the work with a visible product that I like or the chance to find solutions to problems as they present themselves. It's easy to do new construction, remodeling is where the unforseen happens ALL the time.

Minicounter or Kimberely, do either of you know about setting up a small business (besides the fact that most of them fail within a few years)? There are a number of ways to structure them. If either of you have advice, I'll take it. If it is too lengthy of discussion, I could call... just PM me.

Hope everyone and their babies are happy and running smoothly.

Funny you should ask that Mini2na - I just got through going over the options with a class I teach for people wanting to get their contractors license in OR. Of course my first and most famous answer is 'it depends'

So for the long version I will PM you with the plethora of numbers I can be reached at...

Hope you're all enjoying the break in the weather.

I am glad that MiniCounter knows all about that, as I do not. I do work in the industry though, albeit a bit larger operation. Good luck!!

Gee, I guess I've not posted for a bit!

Mom's heart test was fine. No blockages. Whew!
I recovered from the stomach flu. . . had to leave school in a rush to get home and be sick sick sick Tues and Wed. Ick. Much better today

Ok all. . . you have GOT to go get this if you have not yet gotten a quick detailing spray: Meguire's ULTIMATE Quick Detailing spray (in a black bottle). Wow! Scoop's paint feels like glass!

I haven't yet washed her. . . California duster after each drive and a quick wipe down with Meguires is keeping her really clean. She will get a full on bath/wax job this summer.

Have a great driving weekend. . . the weather up there should be warming up and getting sunny now, right?

OMG! You have not had the pleasure of giving Scoop a bath yet? It is one of the joys of parenthood/ownership. Come on up and visit soon. Scoop will need a bath within minutes! This weekend is supposed to be nice.

Glad to hear your Mom is OK. Glad you are on the mend also.

I've found the spray is amazing for tar.

Any golfers?? How many bags fit it the MINI?? I'm getting a new bag this weekend. But I won't have Molly to try the fit out. She is at the Dr. (Dealership) for the Chrome Line Interior Beauty Treatment.

Two if you lay the backseats down - give or take pull carts (I usually detach them for easier riding!)

OH...I got New Clubs too!! We went and hit ***** at Vanco and I found a set a clubs that the Desk Jockey let me try out, had much better results with those than with my 'old' clubs, so we bought them, TopFlite AHS Hybrids. Hubby FINALLy got his Fat Shafts at an incredible deal, so we each ended up getting new clubs and donated our 'old' ones.

I got a set of Golden Bear's over the holidays - and hubby just got a set of Adams, but couldn't live without the Sasquatch (sp?) driver. We have a membership out at Beacon Rock - so we go all of the time.

Good Morning! I hope you all are coordinating the golf bags with the MINIs!

Well, I wasn't driving Scoop yesterday, thank goodness. Got off the freeway to pick up my son after his day of Merit badge work. All of a sudden, traffic around me slowed down, and we all were hearing sharp klunking noises from the road. I drove over something, and then kept driving. Could see everyone in my rear view mirror also slowing way down.

After sitting in the parking lot for about 15 minutes, started up to take off, and the steering felt really funny. Got out, looked- both driver's side tires were flat, front and rear. (And they were only about 3 months old!!!)

Luckily it was a sunny afternoon, no commitments, towing on our insurance and Costco was 2 miles away. As my son pointed out, I could have been driving Scoop instead, and I would have been an absolute basket case! (I've got the run flats- expensive!!!)

So this was me with the poor Saturn:

This WOULD have been me with Scoop:

(AND Costco had my tires in stock, which was great since the others weren't repairable!)

Anyway, going to stay home and work in the garden today. Sweet peas, cherry tomatoes, some fun varieties of bell pepper including lavendar, squash, different herbs, and about 3 fruit trees not including an avocado that should start bearing fruit next year! Suburbia ain't so bad!

No fun!! But I am very glad that Scoop took the day off.

'Tis supposed to be a loverly day - so I intend to enjoy much of it in the garden as well. Then maybe a movie tonight. Hubby wants to go see IronMan.

Scoopmama...sorry to hear about your tire ordeal...luckily Scoop was having a Siesta, I can't imagine the anguish of having that happen to Molly!!
Golf Bag and glove are coordinated with MOLLY!! Although clubs were really hard to coordinate since I have to play with Mens Clubs...BUMMER!! I really tried but Standard Women's Clubs are just to short...oh well the thought was there. Now to get Molly home so I can test out the bag and clubs. Gotta' get that extension mat too, for the folded down rear seats.

I've been searching for the "Throw Mama From the Train" information in my emails. Did PDX MINI send you something?

The texture on the walls and ceilings is almost ready to go on. The paint is the real glory job. Maybe by next weekend.

Frodo is doing well. He came down with the dreaded Cold Start Chatter (S's only). The dealer purged the oil line and he's been humming since, but it is something to watch.

AAACK! What a way to start my morning! Kimberely, I haven't had my coffee yet and now I don't need to!!!! Once when I copied something to the boards it did exactly that! Well, it should provide a fun challenge today!

Moms are coming over for Mother's Day and my younger son's birthday on Sunday. HOPEFULLY the weather will clear up so we can eat outside, but it's been misty and in the '60's for over a week. Brrrr!

I hope everyone has an awesome weekend! (Mine already started when I opened an Amazon package I thought I'd ordered. It was a surprise from my hubby. . . BBC's Thin Blue Line with Rowan Atkinson! Whee!

Mini2na...I just checked out their website and found the info. I think I have hubby convinced to go, he doesn't like crowds. Anyway, if you or anyone else is going let us know.

I am not going this time around. Maybe next time. I would love to go on one of the drives though, when the weather gets nice. I need to figure out what kind of radios they use.

Kimberely do a Google Search they are basically the Walkie Talkies (2-way) Radios that you see people with at Costco. Costs vary as well, so you don't need the most expensive one. I'll be checking them out this weekend and will relay what I find.
Enjoy your Weekend!!

Frodo has his black bonnet scoop attached for real. He feels complete again! I finished dremeling out all the blocked "honeycomb" portions of the scoop grill. That way lots of cool fresh air can get to the CAI when I install it.

Just spotted Frodo's tough twin in town. Looks identical except for the JCW package. WOW does that look nice!

I will be ready for the texture on the walls and ceiling next week. We picked out paint colors also. Lots more to do, but the end is in sight.

90 degrees is predicted for Thurs and Fri!

Frodo is definitely gaining his attitude. . . it shows in the pictures!! So is JCW next on the list?

I've been wondering about drilling open the scoop on Scoop. Do you think it's useful in general for keeping the engine cooler, or is it something that would only make a difference if you were doing auto x?

Had a great day yesterday. . . celebrated M-Day and both my sons' birthdays with grandparents. The drizzle that has hung around all week cleared for yesterday and is back again today.

Hope all had a nice weekend and have a great week!
