It's all your fault..
 

So, there I was, minding my own business at the annual Triumph Bonneville rally at Deals Gap, and what do I see.. hundreds and hundreds of Mini Coopers. Y'all have no idea how much I've been a fan of Minis since the late 60's - when the Cooper S had a 1275cc motor. Still like those old vintage Coopers.

It rained on Saturday, so 3 buddies and I left the "Resort" at the Gap and headed over to Fontana Village to check out the Minis and the vendors (hey, Brit stuff goes with cars and bikes..). We ran into the lad from Pittsburg - I believe he's the sales manager at the Mini store there - (he's also the guy who was grilling on the "motor" of the classic Mini that he towed from PA).

He gave us a great 'tour' of the yellow '07 "S", and that got my juices flowing. Since my return home I've scoured the net for Mini info, and even drove up to Winston-Salem to drive a new S with the 6-speed auto (bad knees - really bad knees - will keep me away from a standard transmission).

I fell in love.. now all I gotta do is figure out how to come up with the dineros to pay for one..

Like I said, it's all your fault..

I'll be lurking for a while.. it's easy to learn about the car from those who own one.

Actually I was there with the Sales Manager from MINI of Pittsburgh who had the 2007 Mellow Yellow S. My car is this one on the Dragon...
