Food allergies?

Anyway we can get a list of ingredients so the people with food allergies can be careful with what they eat? Some people might have allergies to dairy, nuts and wheat/gluten (this is in a lot of things surprisingly). I don't have a problem with the foods but I don't want to buy a ticket to the event if my wife won't be able to eat there.

If not a list of ingredients then a list of say the bottle of bbq sauce they use or the salad dressing or something. Sorry for being a pain in the a** about it.

Thank you for the request

I will take this to our reps and event planners at CMR. I am not sure what kind of timing we need to get a reply, but one way or the other we will do so.

It will also help me if you will send me a list of food allergies that you look out for as it may be easier for them to 'eliminate' some items as possibilities.

Since I am not in the prep kitchen myself, and since I do not know the vendors they use for various food items, I will have to have them do this work.

In the event that they are unable to give us a complete response, I will work with you to find a suitable alternative.

Thanks,

Jonathan

So...how WOULD the Lone Ranger handle this??

Thanks for the request

Unfortunately, the resort does not offer kids prices on catering / banquet meals.

As an offset to that, all of you will receive coupons for discounts anyway - beyond the menu prices - at all of the other CMR outlets you may visit. This is one way we can mitigate the issue.

Thanks for asking, I too wish it were possible.

Just a question about dress code. Since we have to pack light, we need to know what the dress code for the dinners will be.

Thanks,
Betty

You are too polite to ask

Colorado has no dress code. It stops at the borders, from that point, anything goes.

You will see it all here. What you will NOT see is coats, jackets, ties, many skirts (peasant variety OK) or lace up shoes, other than tennis shoes. There just is no dress code. I myself live in shorts and golf shirts in the summer, with both a jacket and a sweatshirt, plus a pair of socks (to go under my sandals) if it gets cool.

Suit yourself. Most of us don't even own an iron. Shame.

IOW....come as you are!!

Thanks, Jonathan. A lot of these dinners expect the ladies to be in dresses. I don't wear a dress unless I absolutely have to. Glad to hear we can all be comfortable and not be out of place.

Nekkid is a choice

like so many things in life.

Here in NAM, and in my musings, Nekkid serves no other purpose than to act as an attention getter.

It works.

Come as you like.

I wear black socks ONLY with expensive Italian loafers.

I wear short white golf socks with my Teva's....to keep my feet warm.

Honest.

How about a beer swap

If you like to taste beer from different parts of the country. Any one interested let me know. We have Carolina Blonde a local beer which is quite good and made here in North Carolina?

Now you are talking 'BrewSampling'

since 'BrewSwap' is spoken for by Matthew Rohrbach and the Dragon.

Hey, make some suggestions here...perhaps during the movie on Saturday this would be a fun thing to do....

Ooo that is something important to know. I went to a special company event. Basiclly all the big wigs pluss a select group of us grunts. Well, dinner was fine until the main corse. They gave us half a chicken brest, and something that looked like a chicken brest. Turned out it was fish. I am VERY alergic to fish. I didn't eat any of it, but just having it on the same plate I got very very sick, and had to rush out. I spent the night huging the tolit, and being real pain. So knowing whats in food is important for some.

Because my wife is allergic to many different foods and has celiac disease, and therefore can't take a chance of eating not knowing what the ingredients are or how the food is prepared, can I purchase the meals for myself only and still have my wife accompany me without having to pay for her to watch me stuff my face?

BourneAgain,
my wife recently had gastric bypass surgery and now only eats 4 ounces per meal. Looking at the menus v prices, we got her tickets for both dinners since I doubt you'll find meals for an average of $15 anywhere else in Copper Mountain.
I realise your situation is different, but that page has the names of the restaurants, if you want to, you could probably call them and ask about the ingredients, or even if maybe your wife could get a special meal on the night. Restaurants will often do their best to accomodate reasonable requests, especially if it's medically needed and part of a big group.

Hello BourneAgain

Thanks for the note. We realize that we may have individual circumstances to deal with and we are happy to do so.

Please contact me by PM and I will help you with arrangements that will not put her at risk.

Thanks,

Jonathan

Our two small children are coming with us. Is it possible to plate share?
For example my daughter can not finish a PB&J made on one slice of bread folded in half.

Also on the brew sharing. I do not drink alcohol. But I and my kids love rootbeer. Anyone up for swaping rootbeer? I really liked the stuff we tried from Mt. Hood, OR a while ago.
