oooh ! looks like some one really did POG your Thoin!
hahaha!
sorry it really is a tragidy (with a funny twist)
A car lost control and ran into the side of the truck and then the chain reaction happened. There was one more car damaged on the other side of the Taurus. It was depressing to walk out of the movie and see the mess. It was 107 that day. We had to wait 3 hours for the police to show up since it was on private property.
I saw this on KC Mini club a while back. You wouldn't happen to be in KC would you??
My wife was T-boned and sent for a spin in our Mini on the 8th of this month. We are anxiously awaiting getting it back tomorrow afternoon from the repairs! The angles of the pictures really don't show just how bad the wheel was knocked out of allignment.

Total came to around $4k worth of damage. Luckily my wife saw her coming and sped up to miss being hit in the door. Also the girl hit her brakes so hard that the bumper was close enough to the ground to not even touch the quarter panel. The rear wheel and back bumper took the brunt of the hit and sent my wife into a spin. No body damage, just every suspension piece on the right side rear had to be replaced.

Got hit by a jeep
My stupid insruance co refused to total the car and it cost $500 more to repair it than I paid for it new in 03
In addition to obvious body work, the whole left side suspension, steering gear and transmission had to be replaced. The impact split the Jeeps tranny wide open spilling it's guts on the road
Mess with a MINI and you get beat
German Motors Collision center in SF did a great job and now it runs as good as ever, and even feels better handling wise

Here's Foxy the Matrix Killer -
Less than 24 hours ago I was cruising along about 45-50 mph when I see a Toyota Matrix begin to exit a driveway about 15-20 ft ahead on my passenger side. I hit the brakes, yelled several words not fit for print :impatient , and landed firmly on her drivers side rear end. She hops out and asked "Didn't you see me?" Yeah I saw you...that is why I was able to hit the back side of your car rather than the driver's door.
Only one of us drove away. The rear driver's side tire on the Matrix was sitting at about a 30 degree angle. She was waiting on a tow truck when I left.
Foxy MINI appears to have no structural damage. She drives as if nothing happened. The bumper is all torn to heck. The bonnet and headlight are scraped up. The fog light is still intact but pushed about 3 inches backward.
Is it wrong that after seeing that things didn't look too bad, I got excited that maybe the bonnet would be repainted and all my rock chips would be hidden!
I had planned to enter her in a car show this weekend. I may put a band-aid on her and still enter. The rest of her is still shiny and beautiful.

What exactly happened? Looks kind of like something out of picture to the left, smacked the red truck hard enough to shove everything over.

we were doing a run in the twisties, It was alittle damp and the r1 I was following fell, I locked up and the sti behind me bumped me into the guardrail. The result

suprisingly there was only a very small scratch on my rear bumper

I wish I would've known about this thread, otherwise I would've posted mine from a few months back. Here's the story, if interested:
I was giving a friend a ride home from work one day and I came to an intersection, from which I wanted to turn right.
However, there was a red light, and numerous emergency vehicles coming from the Base not half a mile away, so I waited for the first two to go by, and proceeded to go, but saw the third as soon as my foot touched the gas, so I stopped.
The guy behind me hadn't realized that I neglected to turn, lest I be hit by a speeding fire truck, so he kept going after I had stopped, and bumped into me doing MAYBE 5 mph, with about a 5ft gap between him and me.
Considering how slow and uneventful the actual collision was, I was amazed at the damage done to my rear bumper and exhaust system. The bumper was bad enough that it had to be replaced completely, which cost about $500, as well as the exhaust system, which is JCW, so that alone was around $1500, and took 2 weeks to get to the dealer (from Germany) to be replaced. Luckily, the other guy's insurance paid for it all, and Tina is just as beautiful as ever.
Here's the kicker: when the guy was explaining to me why he hit me, he said something along the lines of "Your brakelights were so bright, I couldn't tell if you had stopped or not...
"
Anyway, no pics, but thought I'd share the story anyway.

Your damage looks pretty similar to mine. Luckily I had no airbags exploding. Looks like yours had more bonnet damage. Hope the repairs aren't as painful as the wreck was. What kind of car was the girl driving?
