Description: The cupholder that MINI is using in all 2005 MINI's and replaces the MINI Fini cupholder that they had used in previous years. It is beautifully styled with a simplistic flavor that fits in well with the cars interior. It attaches using existing bolts on the pillars that run along the center console for a factory installed look. These are retrofitable to any new MINI Cooper model. There are two finish options to match the color of your dash; Anthracite and Silver.

Pros: Easy to install. Blends well with the Interior.Very functional.
Cons: None

Big improvement over the MiniFini Cup Holder.Only
issue i have is the slight movement of plastic piece
that attaches to the pillar. It scratches the Pillar. I
put some silver pin stripe tape on the Pillar to keep it from being scratched.

Pros: Hold both large and small cans, cups, and mugs
Cons: none

I love this product, it came stock on my MCc. I love the way it hold my coffee mug in the mornings and a cold drink in the afternoon.

Pros: Big, Holds Cups, Sunglasses, Ipod, etc...
Cons: Wobbles, topless drinks WILL SPILL into HVAC & Stereo

Looks cool - it's big, it holds more than just a cup...yes...

BUT... A few days ago I reached to eject a CD and bumped a topless travel mug and coffee spilled EVERYWHERE.... on the radio - the HVAC controls - it in the vents and even (somehow) behind the speedometer glass (probably through the odometer reset porthole). The coffee gummed up the AC button and just might have killed the CD/radio.

The little (no) wineglass icon does not do the trick since - even a covered Starbucks coffee cup has a port hole and while driving down the road the cup holder wobbles back and forth and spills liquids all over the place.

It would be nice if this holder was lower than all the electronics... I suspect MINI did not road tested this feature with anything more than an unopened can of coke or a McDonalds shake

Pros: Nice Look
Cons: Does not hold the BIG cups well

I have both this and the MINI-fini cup holder and prefer the MINI-fini. This one is a nice addition though and lets both my wife and I have a bottled drink in the car without it in our laps.

For morning coffee I do not recommend this one. One nice sweeping turn and out the cup goes.

Pros: Holds most cups/mugs, iPods, glasses, etc.
Cons: hard on passenger's knees, doesn't blend well with interior

This cupholder came with my '05 MCS when I bought it new. At first glance it does not look like it belongs in the car. It just doesn't blend with the lines of the interior. I thought that would be the first thing i would take off when I got it home. Seven years later it's still there. Yes it lacks grace, but it is too darn functional to remove. From travel mugs to Big Gulps, iPods and sunglasses, it is a convienient place to stick things you don't want to roll around. Only other problem you might have is the passenger bumping it with their knees, especially if they are a large individual.
