Description: The M7 Aerogel Turbo Heatshield is designed to fit over the stock turbo using pre-existing mounting points. It's lined with a custom Aerogel blanket to minimize the heat flowing to the rest of the engine bay. Aerogel is nanotechnology with amazing heat rejection qualities (which is why NASA is also using this material in a variety of applications). We've been using Aerogel for a while on the R53 and wanted to bring its heat-rejecting characteristics over to the R56.

Pros: Installs over current factory turbo cover, Easy to install, Cools down hood & scoop
Cons: Pricey but worth it

The M7 Aerogel Turbo Heatshield installed in 20 Min over the stock turbo using pre-existing mounting points. You just remove the 2 uter heat shiled bolts and leave the center on installed. Don't overtighten the bolts as your just wanting the cover to sit on 2 sticky pads against the engine cover and the turbo case. The Aerogel pad under the M7 does it's job and the cover can be lightly touched after spirited driving without burning you...
