With our intake not only will you hear the turbo sucking in and compressing the air, but you will here the OEM blow off valve blowing off.
When dealing with MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensors, small changes to turbulence in the intake system, can make huge changes to how the car runs. Because we are familiar with this problem on other cars, great care was taken to eliminate any turbulence issues that might throw a CEL, or make the car run too lean or rich. We can say for a fact that our intake replicates the stock MAF curve almost perfectly!

This product gives me mixed emotions. I had one and no longer own it for 2 main reasons.
1. The mount conflicted with tubes behind it. I dont like leaving tubes unconnected. If they were meant to be unconnected then they wouldnt be there.
2. Its not a true CAI it's a short ram and I feel as though it would just keep pulling in hot engine air.
The turbo spooling noise is extremely cool though. I think if they redesigned the mount they would have a really solid short ram intake.

cost,the CAI is only 1/3 of the propper up grade
On my 08 MCS JCW,I first got the boost tube kit and the turbo intake hose.Surprise!the turbo intake hose won't fit on a JCW and they don't advertise this fact prior to sale.However,I bit the bullet(ever try to return anything to a retailer,good luck)and bought the CAI and then everything fit like a glove.I also installed the(turbo)intercooler air diverter and made a speed run.150mph and 30psi overboost.Yeah I'm very pleased. It is not a cold air intake as advertised
This is no way a CAI it is open to engine heat.
You would be as well to stick a filter on the end of the intake tube.
RETURNED it to ALTA after almost two mounths and four calls they gave me a huge discount to restock .
It is false advertising.
I will never buy from ALTA again
