Description: The Competition Rear is a 25.5mm, tubular, 4130 chrome moly sway bar weighing in at only 5.5 pounds. Recommended for competition use only, the Competition Rear has three adjustment positions with the softest setting being the more neutral balance. From there, the middle setting will really aid the Mini'*s medium to long mid-corner speed where there will not be any throttle feathering needed to turn the car. The stiffest setting is most beneficial through very slow, tight corners where without the bar you would find yourself on and off throttle several times. With the Competition Rear, this type of corner should only be a one throttle application corner with a rear-steer feel. The set comes complete with polyurethane bushings, bushing brackets and 90-degree zerk fittings for easy lubrication. Compared to the OEM rear bar this bar increases rates as follows (depending on which adjustment hole is used): 226%, 294% & 383%

Pros: still handles best of any car I\\\'ve ever owned
Cons: least bang for the buck.

Purchased Nov. 6 , 2004 from Webb Motorsports at Yarrowsports Pulley Party

Maybe I don\'t drive this car hard enough to appreciate the difference this mod produces, but it is the most subtle and hard to calculate the difference before and after, as far as what I\'ve done to date. My wife said it makes a big difference from the passenger seat, :~).I do notice when cornering hard on poor road surfaces ,that the car seems less inclined to squirrel sideways, than before(I have mine set on the middle of the three settings)

Pros: Gets rid of the understeer, not a difficult install.
Cons: Be careful of \"Trailing Throttle Oversteer\"

Quality product, lighter than other solid rear bars. Works well in autox and track day (I have on middle setting) but, on street must becareful of trailing throttle oversteer. I\'d recommend for street, non experienced drivers, start with softest (rear hole) setting. A REAL tight autox may require the most firm setting. BTW: I\'m on stock springs & shocks.

Pros: Gets rid of understeer
Cons:

This is a great product that neutralizes the car and allows the driver to have lift-off oversteer. Without lifting off, you can keep your foot on the gas and the car will go whereever you point it. It's one of the best suspension modifications that a person can do.

Pros: Well-built
Cons: Does not include beefed up end links

Great addition. We race two JCW Mini Coopers in the Bahrain Mini Challenge Series, and drive them on the streets as well.

The rear anti-roll bar is the single best handling add-on you can make to the Mini, and this bar works great on the track in the stiffest setting (furthest away from the ends of the bar). On the street, I use the middle setting and softer damper setting (running SPAX adjustable dampers), but the hard setting is OK. We also have polyurethane suspension/engine mounts, replacing the OEM rubber, and the response action of the bar is immediate.

Great product, well made, and fairly light weight. Good installation instructions for novice mechanics/DIY'ers.

Do this mod before anything else except the front strut brace...these are the two cheapest mods you can do to immediately improve the responsiveness on turn-in and mid-corner of your Mini....

Pros: Light Weight, Response
Cons: None that I can think of

Great trailing throttle oversteer, but be careful. I'm still learning the bar. Love medium to tight turns when you can keep your foot in it without pushing...

Pros: Weight, Stiffness, Steering change
Cons: None

Best addition on the car. The stiff rear bar definitely evens out the feel of the steering. The only drawback is my wife does not appreciate the stiffer steering, not a problem, I do not let her drive.

I have set mine on the middle setting and it is GREAT.

Pros: Lighter weight, stiffness, Steering response
Cons: None

Way Motor Works installed this at the 2008 MOTD. The difference in how the car handled was immediately noticeable in the twisties of North Carolina. The under steer was gone and the cornering, particularly at increased speeds, was much more comfortable. The bar is set to the middle setting giving a somewhat stiffer ride on rough pavement but not particularly perceptible on normal pavement. The handling more than makes up for a slightly stiffer ride.

Way did a great job with the install of a great product - Highly recommended!!
