The WMW Dead Pedal replaces your existing factory dead pedal in order to raise the pedal height. Why would you want to raise the height of the pedal? With raised pedal your left foot can reach the clutch faster. Added benefit is your left knee will be bent at the same angle as your right while driving down the road. With the long drives between Indianapolis and Atlanta I have found the new knee position to be much more comfortable. Also I have found on the twisty roads I can brace myself better during hard corners. This new pedal fits all models between 2002 and 2006 (R50 and R53).

Pros:
Easy to install, economical, improved comfort during daily driving and autocrossing
Cons:
None noted
I wasn't orignally sure if I'd like this, but after an autocross and some daily driving (100 mile round trip commute), I love it! It provided a rock solid bracing point while autocrossing, and I found that I really liked having both legs at the same angle. Stepping from the dead pedal to the clutch was quick and easy, as you simply move your foot to the right and then depress the clutch. No need to draw your knee up first. I was also worried about shoe clearance as I don't have small feet (size 11), but after one drive I was completely used to it and it has been a non-issue for me with several different pairs of shoes. The pedal is very easy to install. This is a great mod for the both aggressive drivers and casual commuters.

Pros:
Driving position
Cons:
? I can't think of any?
I've gotta agree with Way and 90STX. I have had this dead pedal in my car for about 15k now and I love it. Sometimes on long drives (before the dead pedal) I would get lower back aches from the awkward driving position that the MINI puts you in. The way the factory dead pedal is placed your left leg is reaching farther than your heel position on your throttle foot. This will cause some rotation of your pelvis and hence the back aches. The driving position with Way's aftermarket dead pedal http://www.waymotorworks.com/product...2&cat=0&page=1 is spot on. I haven't had any discomfort driving my MINI since I installed it. And it does give an excellent brace point for spirited driving. Also, You can still get your fuse-box door open and get the floor mat in and out without removing the dead pedal. Nice job Way. Oh, and I wear size size 12 shoes and often wear work boots driving my MINI. I have no clearance /driving issues with the dead pedal installed.
