Description: Cross Competition Series coilovers are among the best in the industry and have some features that make them well worth the investment, especially for those that regularly race and track their MINI. They feature lightweight design with a 15 way dampening adjustable monotube damper, built in camber plates, cool bend linear rate springs, adjustable lower mount (awesome!!), helper springs, and more!

Built In Front Camber Plates:
Adjustable camber plate also included on the front applications with Macpherson Strut suspension systems that MINI utilizes. This allows for a higher performance stance and adjustability as well offers an integrated tuning solution for endless adjustment of camber at the track or your favorite suspension shop. The adjustable camber plate will give enough camber to allow handling characteristics and better feedback and response to the driver.

COOL BEND SPRINGS 8kg front 7 kg rear = about 450# ft 393# rear
Linear rate spring manufactured using chrome silicon metal alloy with a cool bend process to prevent sag or loss of spring rate. This allows for a direct feel with the vehicle and driver. In addition, CROSS is one of the only companies that utilizes the linear spring for better handling.

HIGH STRENGTH INVERTED MONOTUBE
This unique design features a 40mm piston with a one of a kind bumpstop design encased inside the damper. The walls of the shock casing is lined with grease so that the absorber body can easily move along inside the shock casing body. There are also two thrust bearings to protect the absorber body. The inverted monotube design also allows for a stronger support for the strut type suspension.

ADJUSTABLE DAMPENING
Available for all applications with 15 ways adjustability. With this feature, you are able to tune your suspension dampening up to your spec. Adjustability is easy with inverted monotube on the BOTTOM of the damper (for the rear!!) and monotube dampers on the top. An adjustable knob (included with the kit) makes adjustability easy with solid clicks. Adjustability can be softer for street use and brought up for track use. CROSS Competition Series Coilovers have a broad range of adjustability to suit any type of driver looking to upgrade their high performance MINI.

DURABLE MONOTUBE DESIGN
Each CROSS damper includes a high pressure, nitrogen gas filled, monotube designed damper, with special stable viscosity index oil that will not be affected by wide temperature changes. Therefore, heat does not affect the performance capabilities which is the one main performance advantages for a monotube damper. Also, 40mm and 45mm pistons are used for wider performance capabilities. Monotube dampers also allow for easier customization and rebuilding of the damper for longer use.

ADJUSTABLE LOWER BRACKET
More durable than factory brackets with adjustable ride height ranging from 0.5" to 2.5" drop without sacrificing the suspension travel. No other European performance coilover company offers this feature. The independent height drop feature also prevents the noisy annoyance of hitting the bump stop. This also extends the performance capabilities as you can get full shock travel. Made of either high grade steel or high strength aluminum.

Pros: Car now has incredibly neutral handling and perfect ride height
Cons: Rear dampers are hard to adjust

They aren't cheap, but you will think they are worth every penny and more the first time you hit the twisties with them. I never imagined a FWD car could ever have such neutral handling, especially at track speeds. Unfortunately, I have two Minis, and my wife is going to want a set for her car, too

Pros: Excellent damping quality
Cons: Poorly designed damping adjustment

Excellent product, perfect blend for street and track. When setup in softer damping, it rides better/softer yet controlled compare to stock suspension. Quick adjustment to hard damping changes the car to a track monster.

Also height adjustment doesn't change amount of travel available.

The damping adjustment placement are reversed from typical of Front on top, rear at bottom. To access rear adjustment, you will need to cut access hole in the car, but it will be covered up by rear panel so its not visible.

Pros: Transforms the handling
Cons: creaky noises while turning wheel at low speeds

I've had them installed for several months now. Upgraded form the sports suspension on a 2007 MCS. Not any bumpier than sports suspension (but a different type of bumpy). Always keep them set at 5 from the hardest setting even for the street.

The handling improved drastically. No more lean and much more nuetral. If you want a great suspension skip the lowering springs and do it right the first time.

Price is generally around 2000-2400. Saw an awesome deal once for 1800 but I already had mine.

The only con I have is the coilovers make creaky *boing* type noises fairly often when turning the wheel at low speeds.
