Description: Stage One: handles 235 Ft/lbs of Torque
This is a great upgrade from the stock clutch, which will you give you a street friendly feel while performing well for weekend racing. Pedal feel will be slighly harder, but 'grab' will be more precise. Includes high clamp pressure plate, steel-backed woven organic disk, bearings and tool.

Stage Three: handles 300 Ft/lbs of Torque
This a bit more agressive than the stage one clutch, best suited for very agressive street driving (while obeying all the laws, right?) and frequent weekend racing. Includes high-clamp pressure plate, 3-piece disc with carbon or ceramic material, bearings and a tool. Sharp but smooth engagement with light pedal.

Stage Five: handles 500 Ft/lbs of Torque
This may not be too street friendly as engagement may be a bit hard to live with while driving in daily traffic patterns. Best suited for occasional street use and dedicated racing applications. Includes high-clamp load pressure plate, iron disc, bearings and a tool. This is more of an ON OFF switch for your car more than a clutch. There is not much forgiveness with this puppy.

Fits these MINI models:

02-06 Cooper Hatchback
02-06 Cooper S Hatchback
04-08 Cooper Convertible

Pros: stock like feel
Cons: Ruined after 2500 miles

At 28,000 I had the trans out from burning up my diff. Since I had the Trans Out I figured I'd do the clutch as well. I purchased a spec stage 2 + with the lightweight option.

Followed the "Break in" procedure. The clutch drove great, grabbed hard, had a little chatter when cold, but not bad.

At 30,000 almost exactly felt some slipping in 4th gear at 3-5k rpm's

I'm amazed the stock clutch lasted 28K and it looked pretty good when I pulled it out. I went EASIER on this new one, and at 30,500 is barely holds.
