Description: The Madness designed Oil Cooler Kit reduces oil temperatures between 30 - 40 degrees Fareinheight by circulating hot oil though a high-efficiency external cooler. This means reducing oil temperatures from 225 to 185 degrees Fareinheight . The stock oil cooler cools the engine oil via a small heat exchanger (pictured in blue) that circulates hot antifreeze, reaching 225F and higher during racing use, hot climates and heavy traffic. By adding the Madness MINI Cooper S Oil Cooler Kit, the life and quality of the oil are improved. Miles of life are added to high-wear engine components such as piston rings, piston skirts, cam bearings, and rod bearings. Another benefit from the Madness MINI Cooper S Oil Cooler Kit is the reduction in overall engine temperatures. This occurs because the engines antifreeze is not used to cool the oil like in the stock unit.

Pros: Really does lower oil temps; adds another qt of capacity
Cons: hardware for securing new oil radiator to existing radiator seems "cheap"; works fine though.

Installation instructions are excellent; product is of good quality components (except radiator hardware, noted above)
